As a dedicated gamer who’s been navigating the enchanting world of Disney Dreamlight Valley for quite some time now, I can’t help but feel a tad frustrated about the ongoing saga of cross-save on PlayStation consoles. It’s like being stuck in a never-ending storybook where the chapter on seamless gameplay across devices remains unwritten.
It’s no surprise that players of Disney Dreamlight Valley, especially those on PlayStation platforms, have eagerly anticipated cross-save features for quite some time. In fact, questions about PlayStation cross-save are often the first topic of discussion among fans whenever new updates or announcements are made by Gameloft. However, a recent update from the development team behind Disney Dreamlight Valley has sadly confirmed what many players had already suspected – the cross-save feature will not be available as previously planned by the end of 2024.
At present, Disney Dreamlight Valley cross-saves are not compatible with PlayStation alone, setting it apart in a less favorable manner compared to other platforms where players can easily switch between PC and their preferred console. Initially, the developers at Gameloft had aimed to address this concern for PlayStation users by the year 2024.
Unfortunately, while the summer Dapper Delights update introduced cross-platform play for Disney Dreamlight Valley gamers on PlayStation, allowing them to join multiplayer games with friends on different consoles, cross-save functionality is still not available. In other words, cross-platform play enables PS gamers to participate in games with their cross-console friends, but it does not allow them to use the same game save file across multiple platforms.
It appears that, as per the latest Hotfix announcement update, the developers of Disney Dreamlight Valley are still working to overcome technical difficulties in order to introduce the cross-save feature for PlayStation users. They emphasize that this feature remains a top priority for their team and express appreciation for players’ patience. At present, there is no specified timeline for when cross-save will be available on PlayStation consoles.
