As a seasoned Dreamlight Valley resident, I’ve been cooking up a storm since the game’s launch. From crafting delightful dishes for my friends to running the bustling kitchens of Chez Remy and Tiana’s Palace, I’ve seen it all. However, there’s one issue that’s been driving me bananas – or should I say, carrots?
Ever since its debut, Disney Dreamlight Valley has seen a steady stream of updates and fresh content that maintain the game’s appeal. Along with unveiling new characters, missions, and narratives, each update brims with bug fixes and enhancements to the overall experience, like the recent inclusion of floating islands. However, even with all these thrilling new elements and improvements, players have some suggestions for Gameloft regarding the ease-of-use in Disney Dreamlight Valley grinding.
In terms of completing Dreamlight Duties and establishing friendships with new characters within the game, players might find themselves investing considerable time on multiple in-game activities. Ranging from gathering a specific item for a preferred daily gift to preparing a sought-after dish, there are numerous tasks that necessitate remembering various details to advance. While some may find this engaging, those gamers who struggle with memory could benefit from the game offering additional assistance in keeping track of these tasks.
The addition of features like monitoring specific Dreamlight tasks and quests has alleviated some frustration, however, for all the recipes obtained during gameplay in the Valley, Eternity Isle, and elsewhere, players still maintain their notes as a reference.
Disney Dreamlight Valley Fans Demand Recipe Search Bars
Managing two kitchens, Chez Remy and Tiana’s Palace, means there are plenty of recipes to explore and organize these days. It’s all fun and games when players are just trying out new dishes for a quest or character, but things get complicated when dealing with numerous orders in both restaurants. At different times throughout the day, customers could be queued up for orders at either establishment, and it falls on the player to ensure each order is fulfilled promptly.
The problem lies in the game’s organization: There are no effective methods provided to monitor several orders simultaneously. Once you reach the cooking area, the guest order pop-ups become hidden, often leading players to forget about them. This makes it extremely challenging, if not impossible, to prepare all dishes concurrently, unless players resort to using their own external note-taking tools – a strategy that some users have reported employing due to the game’s lack of clear recipe management.
Besides this, locating a particular recipe can prove challenging, even when gamers know exactly what they’re searching for. Unfortunately, there isn’t a search function, and recipes are divided into categories without any specific order or a comprehensive list. Consequently, players often miss the desired recipe multiple times, resulting in wasted time and growing irritation. To address this issue, gamers would greatly appreciate some enhancements to the in-game recipe menu, such as adding a search option or reorganizing recipes for easier navigation.
WE NEED SEARCH BARS IN RECIPES AND A TAB FOR GUESTS ORDERS

Hey there fellow Disney Dreamlight Valley gamer! You know what would make our gaming experience even sweeter? A recipe search bar! Can you imagine not having to scroll endlessly just to find that one elusive recipe? It’d make serving dishes and leveling up friendships a breeze. If a search bar is too much to ask, how about simply alphabetizing the recipes? We’re pleading with Gameloft, it would be such a game-changer!
An alternative suggestion is to create a separate section for restaurant orders, similar to how unique recipes for quests are displayed now. This would allow players to conveniently manage all customer orders simultaneously, preventing confusion about which dish a specific request pertains to, like when one accidentally uses the last butter on an incorrect baked good due to forgetting the order details.
In Disney Dreamlight Valley, the cooking mechanic is often enjoyable but managing the diverse range of recipes has turned into quite a challenge for players. The fans are urging Gameloft to introduce more efficient systems for recipe and order management, and they hope this improvement comes swiftly.
