Zegler confessed to NME, ‘I was incredibly anxious, over and over again, because I was portraying the original Disney Princess. The character from 1937’s Snow White serves as the blueprint for all Disney Princesses. With numerous discussions preceding it, I had to cut my hair, learn to dance with unrealistic animals, and interact with things that weren’t actually there. It was a significant burden.’
As a true fan, I’d like to express my awe at how Disney’s groundbreaking masterpiece, “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” catapulted their studio’s fame and esteem to unparalleled heights. This timeless tale shattered records in 1938 as the highest-grossing film of its year, a feat it maintained for an astounding 55 years as the pinnacle of animated cinema.
Previously, Zegler admitted that she had to make a significant effort to move beyond her childlike self due to her initial excitement. She was squealing and crying, leaving Sandy Powell puzzled. The feeling of becoming an iconic princess is astounding, especially as the first Disney Princess. With this title comes immense responsibility and pressure, but it’s also incredibly amazing.
