As a longtime fan of both Doctor Who and Star Trek, I can hardly contain my excitement for this epic crossover event! Growing up, these two franchises have shaped my love for science fiction and the endless possibilities it holds. The thought of seeing the Doctor and Star Trek characters interacting in a new storyline is beyond my wildest dreams.
In an exciting turn of events, the universes of two major science fiction brands are set to intersect. A mobile game collaboration between Doctor Who and Star Trek has been revealed.
I’m excited to share that starting from the first of August, I’ll have the opportunity to experience an exclusive intergalactic friendship story. This special tale has been crafted specifically for Intergalactic Friendship Day and will be available in two popular mobile games: Star Trek: Lower Decks Mobile and Doctor Who: Lost in Time. Be sure not to miss out as this engaging narrative is only set to run for a limited time!
Fans can look forward to seeing the same story unfold from two distinct viewpoints. The Doctor, unexpectedly, joins the crew of U.S.S. Cerritos in Lower Decks due to a space-time anomaly. Simultaneously, Lieutenant Brad Boimler and Ensign Beckett Mariner find themselves transported into the Doctor Who universe.
In the midst of a reality-shattering ripple, I find myself compelled to collaborate with the brave crew of the Cerritos. Simultaneously, Boimler and Mariner forge an alliance with none other than the enigmatic River Song.
I, as a dedicated supporter of Kevin Jorge, Head of Games at BBC, cannot contain my enthusiasm as I share this exhilarating announcement. The fusion of these revered franchises, “Doctor Who” and “Star Trek,” is no longer just a fan’s fantasy but an imminent reality. This groundbreaking collaboration opens up a fresh narrative landscape where the Doctor and Star Trek characters can team up and create magic like never before!
In the meantime, Doug Rosen, Paramount’s Senior Vice President for Games and Emerging Media, shared his excitement: “Combining the legendary Star Trek sci-fi series with the enduring Doctor Who franchise in an unprecedented mobile game crossover event has been a thrilling experience. We eagerly anticipate the joy fans of both franchises will feel when these two universes intersect.”
In the past, the two popular franchises have merged in various forms of media. For instance, in 2012, there was a brief comic book series where the Eleventh Doctor from Doctor Who interacted with the Star Trek: The Next Generation crew.
As a movie reviewer, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news with fellow sci-fi and drama enthusiasts! In the realm of TV, the Star Trek: Lower Decks crew is gearing up for their fifth and final voyage. I can hardly contain my anticipation as we prepare for the grand finale of this entertaining series.
As a huge fan of Doctor Who, I’m thrilled to share that this iconic show is coming back to BBC iPlayer and BBC One for another exciting adventure at Christmas. And if you can’t wait any longer, you can always catch up on previous seasons by streaming them on BBC iPlayer.
You can watch “Star Trek: Lower Decks” for free for a week on Paramount Plus. Start your trial now through Amazon Prime Video.
