Doctor Who boss urges fans to keep campaigning for Star Trek crossover episode

As a lifelong fan of both Doctor Who and Star Trek, I can hardly contain my excitement at the prospect of these two iconic franchises finally crossing over! For years, we fans have been dreaming about the TARDIS and the Enterprise meeting in some cosmic convergence, and now it seems that our dreams might just come true. The idea of the Doctor landing onboard the USS Cerritos, or Brad Boimler and Mariner finding themselves in a world of Daleks and Weeping Angels, is absolutely thrilling!

Russell T Davies, during his recent panel at San Diego Comic Con, encouraged fans to persistently advocate for a fusion of Doctor Who and Star Trek.

At the panel discussion, the person in charge of Doctor Who and the executive producer overseeing the Star Trek universe had a chat. They discussed Intergalactic Friendship Day, pointing out shared aspects between these two science fiction worlds.

“Davies mentioned through TV Line that they are keen on producing a crossover episode for us, and the means to do so is through fan involvement. Fans have been creating artwork, telling stories, and urging for a merge of these two worlds. This union seems inevitable, it’s something we need to experience.”

According to Star Trek executive producer Alex Kurtzman, we hold similar beliefs and views on the world. We strive to create stories that shed light on humanity. Every version of The Doctor and each new take on Star Trek has aimed to do this for every generation it caters to. It’s this wonderful bond that connects us all.

Although there’s currently no talk of joint episodes, fans of Doctor Who and Star Trek can look forward to seeing their favorite universes merge in a brand-new game instead!

As a dedicated movie critic, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! The intriguing narrative that Davies and Kurtzman have been discussing will unfold starting from August 1st. This unique storyline will be temporarily available for mobile gamers in two of my favorite franchises: Star Trek: Lower Decks Mobile and Doctor Who: Lost in Time. Get ready to immerse yourself in these captivating universes!

Fans will get to experience the story from two unique perspectives, with the Doctor being thrown onboard Lower Decks’ USS Cerritos by a mysterious space-time ripple. Meanwhile, Lieutenant Brad Boimler and Ensign Beckett Mariner will be thrust into the Doctor Who universe.

“Kevin Jorge, the Head of Games at BBC, announced with great enthusiasm: ‘We can hardly contain our excitement as we merge these legendary series for a crossover event fans have long imagined. This partnership presents a rare chance to create an entirely new narrative where Doctor Who and Star Trek characters join forces!'”

As a longtime fan of Doctor Who, I am thrilled to share that the beloved time-traveling series will be back on our screens this Christmas! The excitement is palpable as I reminisce about the countless adventures I’ve shared with the Doctor through the years – from the terror of the Weeping Angels to the camaraderie of the Ponds.
