Christoper Eccleston and Billie Piper are set to team up once more, twenty years since their last appearance together in Doctor Who, as Big Finish reveals the initial details of an upcoming audio adventure they’ll star in.
The project was initially unveiled a month ago, and it’s planned to consist of twelve episodes featuring a full cast, which will make up the fourth season for “Doctor Who – The Ninth Doctor Adventures.”
Or simply:
The project, announced last month, is a 12-episode drama starring the entire cast and marks the start of the fourth season for “Doctor Who – The Ninth Doctor Adventures.
Originally, a summary was provided, but the fresh details delve deeper into what viewers can anticipate in the upcoming adventure. Notably, it’s been disclosed that this storyline unfolds between the television episodes “Father’s Day” and “The Empty Child.
Originally, Kevin departed from the Powell Estate quite some time ago, preferring not to be confined there. However, despite the passage of many years, he finds himself returning and tidying up his father’s former apartment. Fortunately, the Tylers, who have lived nearby, remain in the same neighborhood.
However, it seems that Rose now has a peculiar new companion, this Doctor, who is about to introduce Kevin to a universe hitherto unknown to him.
Beyond Eccleston and Piper, the voice cast for this audio drama features Camille Coduri returning as Rose’s mom, Jackie, Alex Austin portraying Kevin, a previous resident of the Powell Estate, and Hannah Brown essaying Marlene, his well-to-do artist companion.

Concerning the drama, writer Tim Foley shared: “In my wilderness era, I carried a backpack loaded with books, audios, and videos. But it was in 2005 that Doctor Who finally appeared on television – a truly magical moment for me. The Ninth Doctor and Rose have remained incredibly meaningful to me ever since.
No matter where on Earth you reside, you’ve likely heard my jubilant exclamations upon being given the opportunity to contribute to this exciting new series.
Concerning the initial episode, he commented: “It’s fantastic to start with an installment featuring Snare, a character-focused opener set on the Powell Estate. We’re resuming immediately after Father’s Day, where the family turmoil from that tale is still causing echoes.
In a forthcoming event, you’ll get acquainted with an old friend of Rose’s named Kevin. Together, you’ll uncover hidden mysteries within his father’s former apartment. Additionally, you’ll be treated to the culinary skills of Jackie Tyler – just be prepared!
