As a long-time Doctor Who enthusiast with memories of watching the series since its inception, this recent announcement has left me absolutely thrilled! The opportunity to own Jodie Whittaker’s TARDIS from Eve of the Daleks is not just an exciting prospect, but a chance to contribute towards a noble cause like BBC Children in Need.
Fans of Doctor Who will soon get the opportunity to purchase Jodie Whittaker’s TARDIS, as seen in Eve of the Daleks, at an upcoming auction with proceeds going towards BBC Children in Need.
In this installment, the Thirteenth Doctor (Whittaker), along with her associates Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Dan (John Bishop), are caught in a recurring time event on New Year’s Eve. To make matters worse, they must navigate around a Dalek that is stuck within the same loop as them.
The auction kicks off this coming Friday, 15th November, at 5pm sharp, and continues until the same time on Saturday, 23rd November. The highly sought-after item is anticipated to sell between £10,000 and £20,000 during our annual fundraiser. Propstore is overseeing the sale.
As a passionate cinephile, I’ve always admired how Doctor Who embodies the spirit of helping others and fostering a brighter world. It’s heartening to know that my very own TARDIS is now part of this noble mission, supporting BBC Children in Need and creating tangible improvements in children’s lives.
Fans now have an exciting opportunity to bid for Jodie Whittaker’s TARDIS prop, as seen in the 2022 New Year’s Special “Eve of the Daleks.” This is a unique chance, as this TARDIS from the present-day TV series has never been up for auction before.

Besides the Doctor Who artifact being auctioned off this year, another significant piece of the show’s history is available too – Kylie Minogue’s attire worn in the 2007 Christmas special titled “Voyage of the Damned.
On Friday, 15th November, which is the evening of the Children in Need broadcast, the iconic black and white outfit worn by the pop star for her unforgettable portrayal of Astrid Peth will be up for auction during a shorter timeframe, from 5pm to midnight.
Despite being less expensive than the TARDIS, this item is anticipated to sell for anywhere from £3,000 to £6,000. Neither of them will be an inexpensive early Christmas present.
Given the ongoing significance of BBC Children in Need’s efforts, it is anticipated that these sales might significantly boost this year’s overall fundraising amount.
For this year’s Children in Need broadcast, a team of six presenters will take the lead: Vernon Kay, Rochelle Humes, Lenny Rush, Chris Ramsey, Ade Adepitan, and Mel Giedroyc.
I’m thrilled to share that I’ll get a sneak peek at this year’s Doctor Who Christmas special, titled “Joy to the World,” created by the brilliant Steven Moffat. It’s all part of the broadcast, and I can hardly wait!
The festive episode stars Ncuti Gatwa and Bridgerton‘s Nicola Coughlan.
