The evaluations have been made for last Saturday’s episode of Doctor Who season 15 titled “The Story and the Engine“. This episode transported viewers to Lagos, Nigeria, and a seemingly ordinary barbershop that concealed more than met the eye.
In this installment, the Doctor, played by Ncuti Gatwa, paid a visit to a shrouded Barber, portrayed by Ariyon Bakare, who was employing the enchanting art of tale-spinning as part of his vengeful scheme.
At the end, both The Story and the Engine paid tribute to the long-running series’ over 60 years by playing a series of clips featuring past Doctors, either visually or through soundbites.
Last Saturday, at 7:10 PM, the fifth episode from this season’s run of Doctor Who was broadcasted on BBC One, drawing in a viewership of 1.59 million people during its initial airing.
The ratings for the episode that aired overnight showed a rise when compared to last week’s episode titled “Lucky Day,” which garnered 1.50 million viewers.
Among the episodes shown thus far, I must say that “The Robot Revolution” and “The Well” have outshined the third one, which I’ve just watched.
The data isn’t combined and excludes BBC iPlayer; however, it was accessible at 8am on Saturday, prior to its airing on BBC One.
