As the highly anticipated new season of Doctor Who draws nearer, fans are already getting a sneak peek at various visuals. These include snapshots of Ncuti Gatwa as the latest Doctor, Varada Sethu as the newly introduced character Belinda Chandra, and Millie Gibson reprising her role as Ruby Sunday.
In one photo, the Doctor appears to be displaying an item to Ruby, whereas in another, Ruby can be found encountering Jonah Hauer-King’s fresh character named Conrad.
As a dedicated cinephile, I can’t help but notice that Conrad seems to be clutching a poster displaying the words “Lucky Day,” which happens to be the title of the fourth episode this season.
In the second episode titled “Lux,” we find the Doctor clad in a spacesuit, but him and Belinda are dressed in attire from the 1950s instead.

In addition, Rylan Clark takes on a guest presenting role in the Interstellar Song Contest, teaming up with Sabine, portrayed by Julie Dray.
For the latest season consisting of eight episodes, we have Russell T Davies back at the helm as showrunner. He re-joined the team to oversee production when Doctor Who celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2023.

Even though Davies just came back two years ago, discussions have begun regarding who might succeed him when his second tenure concludes, according to the confirmation of the writer.
Previously, he mentioned that the role was taken over by Steven Moffat last time, which didn’t require much effort to find him. This time, however, there are thoughts and discussions about who will fill the position, but finding a suitable candidate is proving to be challenging.

Doctor Who returns to BBC One and iPlayer on Saturday 12th April 2025.
