After much anticipation, the release date for Doctor Who season 15 has officially been revealed!
Starting April 12th at 8 a.m., the Doctor, accompanied by their latest travel partner, will embark on one thrilling journey after another. You can catch this exciting season premiere first on BBC iPlayer, followed by its broadcast on BBC One later in the day.
Not only has the launch date been unveiled, but also, it’s official that Alan Cumming will rejoin the Whoniverse as the animated character Mr Ring-a-Ding. In the season 15 teaser, we recall him menacingly crawling out of a cinema screen.
The character is portrayed as a cheerful, humorous, song-loving cartoon figure, residing in the vibrant town of Sunny Town alongside his companion, Sunshine Sally.

Cumming previously guest starred as King James I in the 2018 episode The Witchfinders.

With Alan Cumming on board, Doctor Who’s universe becomes even more eccentric and chaotic, and it’s truly a privilege to have him join the TARDIS crew.

It was predictable, considering how season 14 ended with Ruby discovering her birth mother, Louise, and opting to reconnect with her by resuming life on Earth. However, Ruby won’t be gone for long, as showrunner Russell T Davies hints at more stories in the upcoming Sundays.
According to a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Davies mentioned that as we delve into Season 2, Ruby Sunday turns out to be crucial. There are exciting developments ahead.
As a dedicated movie enthusiast, I must admit that the intricate details surrounding Season 15 remain shrouded in secrecy. However, a tantalizing Christmas Day sneak peek last year has left fans buzzing with anticipation about the upcoming season.
The trailer features the Doctor joining forces with a new ally, Belinda, along with the reappearance of character Ruby, while working together with UNIT.
The video subtly suggests a resurfacing of the Pantheon of Discord, since the Doctor mentions the emergence of forces from outside our universe engaging in perilous manipulations.
