The United Nations Intelligence Taskforce (UNIT) springs into action as both territories engage in warfare. This captivating series, titled “The Battle Between Terraland and Neptune’s Realm,” is brought to you by Bad Wolf, in collaboration with BBC Studios for Disney Branded Television and the BBC. Apart from Davies, the executive producers include Phil Collinson, Joel Collins, Julie Gardner, and Jane Tranter.
In a press announcement, Davies expresses his good fortune for collaborating with such an impressive group of actors. He describes the series as being large-scale, robust, and filled with excitement, promising that it will cause a significant upheaval within the Doctor’s universe. Without the Doctor present, he suggests that all of humanity finds itself in peril.
When Will Doctor Who Return With New Episodes?
“Doctor Who” will make its comeback with a 2024 Christmas special, penned by the previous showrunner Steven Moffat. Production for season 2 of “Doctor Who”, now under Disney+ branding, has been completed, but a specific release date is still unannounced. Both Gatwa and Gibson are set to reappear in season 2, along with Varada Sethu as a new, enigmatic companion.
Previously, Gatwa expressed that he finds it incredibly enjoyable to adapt to the role. He added that he has become more at ease and the character of the Doctor seems to have settled a bit more, shifting from his chest to his gut.
