Doctor Who star Susan Twist returns to narrate mysterious audio teaser

As a long-time Doctor Who enthusiast with a penchant for unraveling mysteries, I find myself utterly captivated by these upcoming audiobook adventures! Susan Twist, whom we’ve come to know as a herald of Sutekh, now graces us with her voice as narrator in Doctor Who: On Ghost Beach. The tale promises to be a chilling and enigmatic journey, one that I can’t help but feel drawn to like moths to a flaming TARDIS.

In every episode of season 14, the actress sparked curiosity by her enigmatic presence, causing whispers and theories about her character’s identity for weeks on end. It wasn’t until the “Empire of Death” episode that we learned she was none other than a messenger of Sutekh.

Currently, Twist assumes the part of storyteller for Doctor Who’s episode titled “Ghost Beach.” This chilling yarn of intrigue and excitement features the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday.

In 1958, I found myself transported to County Durham, England, courtesy of none other than the enigmatic TARDIS!

Once bustling with industrial activity, Seaham Chemical Beach now stands as an abandoned site, causing locals to experience unsettling dreams and ghostly visions.

The strange ambiance of the beach soon influences both the Doctor and Ruby, causing them to slowly lose track of their identities. Meanwhile, Ruby starts to hear a faint voice in the distance, beckoning her.

It concludes: “Whose memories are filling the travellers’ heads, and what is the significance of Ghost Beach, in the Sea of Despair, on the planet Farfrom? Even more importantly – who is Reg?”

The audio drama “Ghost Beach” will drop on the same day as “Doctor Who: Sting of the Sasquatch,” another adventure featuring the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday. This production will be narrated by Genesis Lynea, who is recognized by several aliases including UNIT’s Harriet Arbinger and Sutekh’s Harbinger.

The summary of that title, penned by Darren Jones, states: ‘In a North American national park, the Doctor and Ruby find themselves chased by mysterious, ape-resembling beings that appear to vanish amidst the forest trees.’

When I fell sick, seemingly from a foreign sting, I suspected my condition might be of extraterrestrial origin, and indeed, the doctor shared this unusual belief with me.

Later on, the ape-like beings abduct Ruby. Eager to rescue her and unravel the enigma surrounding the Sasquatch, the Doctor takes action.

Doctor Who: On Ghost Beach and Sting of the Sasquatch are released on Thursday 7th November 2024.
