The initial segment of the Doctor Who Season 15 finale, titled “Wish World,” has been broadcast, and we now have access to the overnight viewership figures.
In this movie, I found myself exploring an alternate world, crafted by the cunning Conrad Clark (Jonah Hauer-King) and brought to life by The Rani (Archie Panjabi). Accompanied by The Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu), we ventured into this dreamscape.
As I sat in the cinema, pondering over the enigmatic conclusion of “Wish World,” it was clear that there were several loose ends that remained shrouded in mystery. Yet, I find solace in knowing that we’ll unravel these mysteries in the second act of the finale next week.
Last Saturday, at exactly 6:50 PM, the seventh-to-last episode of the ongoing season of Doctor Who was broadcasted on BBC One. As reported by TV Zone, it drew an overnight viewership of approximately 1.8 million people.
It’s worth mentioning that the data presented here doesn’t take into account BBC iPlayer. The episode in question was accessible to stream from 8am on a Saturday before it aired on BBC One.

In the upcoming week starting from June 2nd, BARB will release a summary of viewership data that includes both live and delayed viewing, as well as various devices.
Although it was a significant episode leading up to the series end, this week’s installment saw a drop in overnight ratings compared to the peak of 2.57 million viewers for The Interstellar Song Contest last week.
A fierce conflict unfolds high above as the sinister Unholy Trinity sets loose their lethal intentions. In an attempt to rescue just one innocent soul, the Doctor, Belinda, and Ruby face perilous odds.
Looking forward to the double feature screening of “World” and “Reality War” movies in cinemas on Saturday, 31st May, much like the two-part finale of season 14.
As a die-hard movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that “The Reality War” won’t be making an early appearance on BBC iPlayer. Instead, it’s gearing up for a traditional television debut. This means no premature peeks or unwanted spoilers will be ruining the surprise!

As indicated by showrunner Russell T Davies, the final episode is expected to bring significant changes to the mythology surrounding Gallifrey, featuring an ending that combines grandiosity and intense personal relevance.
The episode could potentially signal the conclusion of Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor, as there’s a lot of buzz and anticipation regarding his continued involvement in the series.
We’ll have to wait and see what the finale brings.
On Saturday, May 31st, 2025, Doctor Who will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK at 6:50 PM local time. For those living outside of the UK, you can find the series on Disney+.
