Does Joker 2 Have A Post-Credits Scene?

As a lifelong fan who’s been through more comic book movie adaptations than I care to count, I must say that the absence of a post-credits scene in “Joker: Folie à Deux” is both refreshing and slightly disappointing at the same time. On one hand, it feels like a definitive ending to this unique take on the Joker origin story. On the other hand, after all the hype around the original movie, I couldn’t help but wonder if they were setting up an entire trilogy in this second installment. But hey, who am I to question Todd Phillips? He’s been playing in the DC Universe sandbox for two movies now, and he seems to have said everything he wanted to say.

The film “Joker: Folie à Deux” is now playing in cinemas, and while it appears to be a significant departure from the standard comic book film genre (given its artistic musical structure), it still maintains some common elements that are often found in these types of movies – such as the inclusion of a post-credits scene. Many people didn’t anticipate a sequel for the original “Joker” movie from 2019, but with the unpredictability of the film industry, it’s not impossible that the creators could be laying the groundwork for an entire trilogy in this second installment. After all, stranger things have happened, like the emergence of this “Joker” movie franchise.

Is there any post-credit scene in Joker 2 that might delight viewers with a surprise? Continue reading to find out.

Does Joker: Folie ? Deux Have A Post-Credits Scene?

You don’t have to stay, there are no extra scenes for viewers in Joker 2 after the movie ends.

Does Joker 2 Have A Post-Credits Scene?

The conclusion of the film seems to wrap up the Joker storyline in such a way that it could be seen as a conclusive ending to the Joker movie series, without giving away specific plot details.

As a gamer, I can relate to Todd Phillips’ sentiment. After crafting the Joker stories in the “sandbox” for two games, it feels like we’ve told the story we wanted to tell within this universe. It was an exhilarating journey, but now, it’s time to move on and explore new gaming landscapes.

Phillips has taken things a level up, expressing that he’s not only finished with the Joker character, but he might have also concluded his work within the entire DC Universe.

In response to being asked if there might be a standalone film focusing on Arthur Fleck’s love interest, Lee (Harley Quinn), played by Lady Gaga, director Todd Phillips told THR that it isn’t the direction he sees for “Joker 2” personally. Instead, he feels like his journey within the DC Universe has been completed with these two films.

If Phillips seems to be concluding the storyline for Joker and DC films in such a definitive way, it’s likely he’s not planning any additional content related to Folie ? Deux. However, the Joker series has been somewhat ambiguous about the nature of reality, leaving room for speculation that there could have been an extra scene to clarify whether Arthur’s experiences are real or imagined – a final twist or joke on the audience.

In the movie “Folie à Deux,” Joaquin Phoenix portrays Arthur Fleck while Lady Gaga takes on the role of Harleen “Lee” Quinzel. The cast also includes Brendan Gleeson, known for his work in “The Banshees of Inisherin,” as Jackie Sullivan. Catherine Keener, who starred in “Get Out,” plays Maryanne Stewart. Zazie Beetz, famous for her role in “Deadpool 2,” is Sophie Dumond. Steve Coogan, best known for his comedies like “Alan Partridge,” portrays Paddy Meyers. Lastly, Harry Lawtey, who was seen in “The Pale Blue Eye,” plays Harvey Dent.

Joker 2 is now playing in theaters.
