In an exclusive interview with Will Marfuggi on TopMob News at 11 p.m., the 79-year-old stated that she has been asked to do something numerous times but finds it challenging. She declines because she values sincerity and doesn’t want to disappoint those who genuinely believe in their abilities, even if they may not be as skilled as required.

Previously, Dolly had been a guest mentor on American Idol back in 2008 during its seventh season. During this time, the final nine contestants, including winner David Cook, sang her songs like “Jolene” and “I Will Always Love You.” This Grammy-winning artist also served as a guest mentor on The Voice not once, but twice – first in season nine of 2015, and then again in season 11 in 2016.

Although Dolly doesn’t wish to sit among the judges, she has graced shows like ‘Idol’ and ‘The Voice’, acting as a guest mentor on these platforms. Currently, Dolly has shifted focus towards other endeavors. The musical Dolly: An Original Musical, drawing inspiration from the singer’s life and career, is scheduled to debut on Broadway in 2026. Additionally, her Tennessee-based amusement park, Dollywood, recently celebrated its 40th anniversary.

And Dolly, who not too long ago graced an event marking its occasion, recalls harboring concerns that no one would show up initially when it first began operations.

She pondered, “What if they don’t show up? What would be my next move?” she mused retrospectively. “But then, I noticed vehicles pulling in, and I vividly remember the exhilaration when the parking lot became bustling. Now it’s a common sight, and after 40 years, they keep on coming.

Dolly went on, expressing her immense satisfaction: “I’m so thrilled about everything, as I’ve watched it flourish. It feels like nurturing a big family. Each new addition is exciting, just like welcoming a new member into the family. But what makes it truly special is that this park is designed for families, and we take immense pride in that. Honestly, I feel just as proud of that accomplishment as anything else, knowing that people choose to return.
