It appears that Nintendo may have more important matters at hand, with rumors of the Switch 2’s announcement looming, but they also have other projects in progress. For instance, Donkey Kong Country Returns is set to make a comeback again soon, and ahead of its launch, Nintendo has already unveiled a trailer for it. You can watch it below.
Managed by Forever Entertainment, you can anticipate that Donkey Kong Country Returns HD will be a relatively traditional remaster. The modifications and upgrades will consist of a redesigned opening sequence, subtle visual improvements, new features for the JoyCons, quality-of-life enhancements, additional content from the platformer’s 3DS version, and similar adjustments. Although the original is still considered a modern classic in platforming games, those eager to discover it anew (or revisit it) should stay vigilant.
Donkey Kong Country Returns HD is set to debut on the Nintendo Switch on January 16th. Interestingly, this remastered version does not acknowledge the contributions of its original developers, Retro Studios. For further insights, check out the details here.
