55-year-old Wahlberg has subtly suggested that members of the Reagan family could be featured on the show, including Tom Selleck. Unlike “Blue Bloods,” which was based in New York City and focused on the lives of the NYPD’s elite, “Boston Blue” will have Wahlberg joining the Boston PD and embarking on a new chapter in his life.

According to Wahlberg, it’s quite possible for Selleck, who is 80 years old, to appear as a guest star on the CBS series. He mentioned this during his interview with Parade on June 23rd, stating that New York and Boston aren’t geographically far from each other.

Previously, it was announced that Martin-Green, aged 40, had joined the cast of the series called “Boston Blue.” In this role, she will portray the character Lena Silver, who hails from an esteemed family in law enforcement.

The reason behind Danny Reagan, played by Wahlberg, accepting a position in Boston has yet to be revealed.
