Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith have shared exciting news that their widely acclaimed play, Inside No.9: Stage/Fright, is set to embark on a tour across the United Kingdom this fall.
The live adaptation of the popular anthology show has been ongoing at the West End since January, initially set to conclude on 5th April. However, true to form of Inside No.9, when one might assume it’s ending, an unexpected turn of events is in store instead.
After achieving this victory, the creators have opted to bring the performance to 11 different venues this fall, with them both reprising their roles on stage.

I must confess, the phenomenal success of our Inside No 9 Stage / Fright at Wyndham’s Theatre left me utterly astounded. Before the tour even began, every performance was sold out, which in itself was a remarkable feat. But what truly made it exceptional was the daily response from both long-time fans and newcomers. It was invigorating and heartwarmingly emotional to witness such overwhelming enthusiasm night after night. To top it off, being nominated for an Olivier Award was the cherry on top of this unforgettable experience.
Excitedly, we’re thrilled to share our show with a broader audience nationwide! The term ‘swan-song,’ often used for a final performance, may stem from an old myth that swans sing beautifully before they die. But let’s be real, swans are more known for their honking and… well, their waste management!
Join us for the farewell tour of Inside No. 9, as we prepare to say goodbye. Rest assured, there won’t be a single dry eye in the audience.
The play is scheduled to visit Milton Keynes, Sunderland, Canterbury, Birmingham, Manchester, and Woking first, followed by Hull, Oxford, Stoke-on-Trent, Liverpool, and finally Edinburgh.
Tickets to the tour will be available tomorrow, so here’s what you need to know.
