This upcoming anime will be produced by Wit Studio. Just days following the finale of Daima, Kojima shared Yoshimichi Kameda’s work related to Yaiba, including the trailer and sneak peeks for the forthcoming animation. Kameda is recognized for his character design and role as the Chief Animation Director on Yaiba.

Yaiba: Samurai Legend Embraces Old-School Cool With a New-Era Spin

The story revolves around the character of Yaiba Kurogane, a budding samurai who spent his youth learning under his father in the forest, later moving to the city. His rival, Takeshi Onimaru, a skilled swordsman, has a disagreement with Yaiba that ends inconclusively, leaving Yaiba disgraced and driving him to evil. With the discovery of a magical sword, Onimaru gains the ability to summon an army of demons with world-conquering ambitions.
