DOOM: The Dark Ages Adds Path Tracing and DLSS Ray Reconstruction in June on PC

Although DOOM: The Dark Ages by id Software currently appears stunning due to ray-traced global illumination, it’s set to look even more impressive for PC gamers. Nvidia has announced that path tracing and DLSS Ray Reconstruction will be accessible to GeForce RTX GPU users in June.

Additionally, it’s promoting DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, which supports RTX 50 Series cards, potentially quadrupling the average frame rate. However, Nvidia has faced some criticism over its newest GPU series, particularly concerning pricing. The recent RTX 5060 has received flak due to its limited 8 GB VRAM, and there have been allegations about the company not providing traditional reviews.

The game titled “DOOM: The Dark Ages” is currently available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC platforms. Our review highlights its impressive combat, visuals, and presentation, but be aware that the story might not appeal to everyone. At this moment, id Software is developing campaign DLC, though they haven’t disclosed a specific release date yet. Keep an eye out for updates in the meantime!
