DOOM: The Dark Ages Debuts on Top of Weekly Retail UK Charts

It’s uncertain if DOOM: The Dark Ages will meet Microsoft and Bethesda’s commercial expectations over time, but it’s off to a promising start in terms of physical sales in the UK. According to Gfk charts, DOOM: The Dark Ages was the best-selling physical game in the UK for the week ending May 17.

In the charts, DOOM: The Dark Ages holds the number one position, and hot on its heels is another new release, The Precinct, which follows the style of old-school GTA. This action-adventure title from Fallen Tree Games and Kwalee claims the second spot. Meanwhile, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has dropped from its top position last week, now sitting at eighth place. Assassin’s Creed Shadows, previously in fourth place, has moved down to sixth position this week.

It’s worth noting that ten years after its initial launch, The Witcher 3’s Game of the Year Edition currently ranks seventh in the charts. Similarly, Grand Theft Auto V, another classic game, holds a spot in fifth place. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is at number ten on the list.
