In Chapter 5 of DOOM: The Dark Ages, the Layover Challenge tasks you with alighting from your dragon at two covert Landing Spots on separate occasions.
During this part of the campaign, you’ll learn about regular Landing Zones. However, it’s no secret that there are hidden ones as well. Interestingly, these secret zones don’t appear until you defeat certain enemies scattered across the map. Locating them independently takes meticulous exploration.

Dismount the Dragon at Two Different Landing Zones Chapter 5 | Layover Challenge
Once you arrive at Aratum in Chapter 5, simply turn towards the left, and you’ll find a towering structure guarded by a large enemy. That is where the secret landing zones are located.
Activate the dragon’s Attack Mode to eliminate the foe and complete its demise. Doing so will trigger the appearance of the first concealed Drop Zone. Prepare yourself for combat as you’ll encounter numerous adversaries upon arrival.
Once you’ve vanquished the adversaries, mount your dragon once more and soar towards the heart of the city. That’s where the grand airship can be found.
Make your way to the lowest part of the round district within the city. That’s where you’ll encounter a set of two massive foes standing tall. Overcome them both!
Once you’ve eliminated these two adversaries, the concealed Landing Zone number 2 will materialize on the main platform. Go ahead and touch down there just as you did previously, and the Layover Challenge will be instantly tagged as accomplished.
