The first fresh footage of “DOOM: The Dark Ages” has surfaced, following its initial reveal during the Xbox Games Showcase in June. In this debut trailer, “DOOM: The Dark Ages” was introduced as a game expected to launch at some point in 2025. Since then, there’s been no further word or visuals from Bethesda and developer id Software about the upcoming DOOM title, leaving fans curious for updates. However, the wait is over now, as a new sneak peek of “The Dark Ages” has been unveiled.
As a gaming enthusiast, I recently caught a sneak peek of the upcoming title, “DOOM: The Dark Ages,” shared by NVIDIA in one of their videos. Unfortunately, this glimpse didn’t delve into any gameplay from the shooter, but rather served to showcase the prowess of their RTX technology on DLSS 4. To achieve this, they utilized “DOOM: The Dark Ages” alongside a few other games as demonstrations. What was revealed were brief glimpses of some of the diverse environments that will be part of the game and a more detailed look at the DOOM Slayer’s design.

At present, we don’t know much about the upcoming game “DOOM: The Dark Ages” or its launch date. Lately, there have been whispers hinting at a potential release in the first half of 2025, but neither Bethesda nor id Software have confirmed this. If these rumors are true and the game is set to come out soon, we can expect to hear more about it fairly quickly.
It’s been widely speculated that Xbox is planning to host a “Developer Direct” showcase in January 2024, where it’s expected they’ll shine a light on the upcoming game “DOOM: The Dark Ages,” providing us with a clearer release date.
Before the year 2025 ends, it’s certain that the game “DOOM: The Dark Ages” will be released at some point. Interestingly, this game initially intended for Xbox will also be available on PlayStation 5, along with the Xbox Series X/S and PC gaming platforms.
