On Tuesday, the authentic Bethesda Bluesky social media handle announced that DOOM: The Dark Ages broke a record, surpassing its 2020 counterpart, DOOM Eternal, in reaching this milestone an unprecedented seven times quicker. This sets a new standard for id Software, marking the biggest launch in their history.
Absolutely, since it’s a first-party Xbox game, DOOM: The Dark Ages was immediately made available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This is a significant aspect that could influence the speed at which players started playing each game.
DOOM: The Dark Ages can now be played on Battle.net, marking an expansion of Microsoft’s endeavors to distribute games from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks through Blizzard Entertainment’s PC platform.
