The thrilling showcase of DOOM: The Dark Ages has left quite an impression recently. With Bethesda and Microsoft confirming a May release date, we won’t have to wait much longer to play it. Upon its launch, the shooter game will be accessible on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. However, it appears that these aren’t the only platforms it’s being developed for.
A well-known Xbox insider, known as extas1s, has hinted in a recent video that “DOOM: The Dark Ages” may also be in production for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Given that “DOOM (2016)” and “DOOM Eternal” were eventually released on the Nintendo Switch, this isn’t entirely unexpected, although the exact release date for “The Dark Ages” on the new console is yet to be announced.
According to rumors, it appears that Nintendo might be delaying the official announcement of the Bethesda and Microsoft game on the Switch 2. Reportedly, any third-party games planned for the Switch 2 are not being publicly unveiled yet. So, whether we’ll hear about DOOM at the Switch 2 Direct in April remains uncertain.
The game titled “DOOM: The Dark Ages” is set to arrive on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC on the 15th of May. You can learn about its PC specifications by clicking here.
