Nvidia’s 50-series graphics processors have been officially revealed, showcasing new features such as DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation. Various games will take advantage of this technology, including id Software’s upcoming title “DOOM: The Dark Ages.” It will debut with both DLSS Ray Reconstruction and Path Tracing capabilities, as hinted in the trailer below.
The latest transformer AI model developed by DLSS is set to boost both Super Resolution and Ray Reconstruction as well as deliver sharper image quality through DLAA. To sweeten the deal, Nvidia has announced that a first-person shooter game can be streamed via GeForce NOW, offering Premium subscribers access to RTX-level hardware and performance.
The game titled “DOOM: The Dark Ages” is set to arrive on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC this year. While an exact launch date hasn’t been announced yet, there are whispers that it might drop in May. As a precursor to the 2016 version of “DOOM“, it revolves around the Slayer battling demons in Hell using medieval tools such as shields and flails. The creative director, Hugo Martin, has also hinted that the combat will be more deliberate but more intense, with bigger battlefields.
