Dove Cameron Shares Emotional Message to Late Costar Cameron Boyce

Dove Cameron is keeping Cameron Boyce’s memory alive.

The actress honored her deceased “Descendants” co-star on the occasion of what would have been his 26th birthday, by delivering a heartfelt tribute to him, who sadly passed away in July 2019.

On May 28th, Dove uploaded a collection of monochrome images featuring Cameron to Instagram. Among these were candid shots, such as one taken during the Disney Channel film series, where she was alongside Sofia Carson and Booboo Stewart. The post concluded with an image of a tattoo dedicated to Cameron’s memory, which depicts a gun with a blossoming rose emerging from its barrel.

In a post accompanying the photos, the 29-year-old expressed, “You’re always on my mind.” They continued with, “See you again in our future lives.” Lastly, they wished a happy birthday and shared their affection with, “I care for you deeply.

Sofia also honored Cameron’s life in a post of her own featuring a photo of the actor.

She posted on Instagram, ‘Continue dancing in heaven, dear Cam.’ The world will never be the same without you here on Earth.

Cameron, known for his roles in the Disney Channel sitcom “Jessie” and the “Grown Ups” movie series, tragically passed away in his sleep at the age of 20, following a seizure. His family shared this information with TopMob News initially. Subsequently, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner determined that he suffered from a “sudden unexpected death in epilepsy,” classifying his passing as a natural cause.

After experiencing a loss, Dove visited a tattoo studio, inspired by Cameron’s work towards ending gun violence, where she decided to get a new tattoo as a result.

In a video for Vogue in December 2019, she clarified that he aimed to have high-profile individuals possess items resembling guns, but these would instead be artistic or symbolic of peace.

Dove mentioned that she’s been contemplating a tattoo as a tribute to him since his passing, and the design she eventually chose was quite fitting.
