Dr. Oz’s Granddaughter Faints During Trump’s Speech

Good thing there was a doctor in the house—the White House, that is.

Shortly following Dr. Mehmet Oz’s inauguration as the head of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services under President Donald Trump in the Oval Office, a minor disturbance ensued when Dr. Oz’s granddaughter, 11-year-old Philomena Jovanovic (the eldest of Daphne Oz’s four children), suddenly lost consciousness.

During the April 18 event, captured on video, the president was conversing with journalists when a commotion originated from another part of the office. A woman exclaimed, “Philo has fainted, Philo has fainted. Dad, go!” Dr. Oz, who is married to Lisa Oz and has children Daphne (39), Arabella (34), Zoe (28), and Oliver (25) with her, swiftly moved towards his family in response.

After being asked to depart by the press, Daphne, along with her children – Jovan Jovanovic (9), Domenica Celine Jovanovic (7), and Giovanna Ines Jovanovic (5) – accompanied by her husband John Jovanovic – exited the office. However, upon leaving, Daphne was observed assisting one of her daughters outside the office.

Though the scene was tense, the White House later clarified that Philomena was doing well.

During Dr. Oz’s inauguration in the Oval Office on April 18th, a relative of his fainted, according to a representative’s statement to People magazine. Luckily, we can confirm that she is now fine.

Daphne, who hosted the daytime cooking show “The Chew” for seven seasons from 2011 to 2017, much like her father did on TV, was swift in supporting her daughter. Additionally, she has openly advocated for the advantages of having a family with strong roots in the medical field.

The cookbook author shared with Parade in 2020 that they couldn’t imagine managing without constant access to a doctor, as it has become such a routine for them. Since both their grandfathers, father, and uncle are doctors, they often seek advice or assistance from them.

As a native of Ohio, I, JD Vance, had a successful career in venture capitalism before I chose to share my personal journey in the critically acclaimed 2016 memoir, “Hillbilly Elegy.” Since then, I’ve found myself venturing into the political arena.

In 2022, a Yale-educated attorney with a Marine background was chosen for the U.S. Senate. After serving for under two years, this individual was selected as Donald Trump’s vice presidential candidate in the 2024 election.

As a devoted follower, I find myself in the position where, should the need arise, I can cast a decisive vote as Vice President. This unique role places me second in command and gives me the opportunity to influence key legislative decisions within the Senate Republican party when a tie occurs.

He has been married to law school sweetheart Usha Vance since 2014 and they share three children.

Previously, Senator Marco Rubio from Florida was a vocal adversary towards Donald Trump during their presidential race in 2016. However, he has subsequently evolved into an advocate for the policies once opposed by him.

A Miami resident, born to Cuban immigrant parents, became the sole and initial nominee for Trump’s second cabinet to secure unanimous bipartisan approval from the Senate, with a resounding 99-0 vote. Notably, Rubio – who was still serving as Ohio Senator at the time – was able to cast his own vote in this confirmation process. (Now, former Ohio Senator Vance has taken Rubio’s seat.)

Rubio, as depicted here alongside Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly, has been in marriage with Jeanette Dousdebes since 1998. Together, they are the proud parents of two girls and two boys.

Scott Bessent boasts over four decades of expertise in international investment management. This includes his tenure as the CEO of hedge fund Key Square Capital Management and serving as the Chief Investment Officer for Soros Fund Management, which is associated with prominent Democratic donor George Soros.

As a proud alum of Yale, I not only imparted knowledge on economic history within its hallowed halls but also took action beyond academia. Together with my family, we brought life to the McLeod Rehabilitation Center, nestled within the Shriners Children’s Hospital in my cherished home state, South Carolina.

Based on his official biography, he resides part-time in both Washington, D.C., and Charleston, S.C., accompanied by his husband and two children.

In a specific area and income bracket, being gay was not a matter of concern as he shared with the Yale Alumni Magazine in 2015 before the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling that made same-sex marriage legal across the country. What’s amazing now is that people throughout America, regardless of their social class, can enjoy the same opportunities. If someone had told me in 1984, during our graduation and amid the AIDS crisis, that I would be legally married with two children conceived through surrogacy thirty years later, I wouldn’t have believed it.

Pete Hegseth, a veteran of the Army National Guard, had been sharing the hosting duties on Fox News’ weekend program, Fox & Friends Weekend, since 2017. However, when Trump appointed him as Defense Secretary, he stepped away from this role.

In the face of past contentious remarks concerning diversity and military servicewomen, a 2017 sexual assault accusation (which Hegseth denies vehemently), allegations of job-related drinking (also denied) and an email from his mother in 2018 labeling him as “a woman abuser” (later disavowed by her), Hegseth’s nomination seemed to be on the verge of collapse. However, he was just barely confirmed by the Senate, with no votes from Democrats and three Republican dissenters.

Eric Hegseth is married to Jennifer Rauchet Hegseth, a previous producer for Fox & Friends, and together they have one daughter. Additionally, he has three children with his second ex-wife, Samatha Deering, and their wedding took place at Trump National Golf Club in Colts Neck, New Jersey, in 2019.

Following Matt Gaetz’s decision to step back from consideration due to scandals, I, as a dedicated follower, found that President-elect Trump eventually selected Pam Bondi, who was part of his defense team during his first impeachment trial, for the role leading the U.S. Department of Justice.

For eighteen years, she worked as a prosecutor for the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office. In 2011, she made history by becoming Florida’s first female attorney general. Towards the end of her term, there were debates about ethics after she temporarily co-hosted Fox News’ “The Five” for three days in 2018.

According to a representative, it’s common to see her on national broadcasts. They pointed out that she doesn’t receive payment for her hosting duties. The Attorney General is consistently busy, reachable around the clock, and even when traveling outside the state, she continues her work.

Since the year 2017, Bondi has been in a romantic relationship with John Wakefield, who is the founding principal of Varner Wakefield Equity Partners. John Wakefield has been linked to her. She has three kids from a past relationship.

2024 presidential prospect and former supporter of Donald Trump, wealthy software magnate and investor Doug Burgum, held the position of governor of North Dakota from 2017 until his selection to lead the Department of Interior, a role that oversees the administration of approximately 480 million acres of federal land, ensuring a balance between resource development and conservation.

Raised in the small town of Arthur, North Dakota, with just 325 residents, Burgum went on to study at North Dakota State University. He then launched a chimney sweeping enterprise, which he believes played a crucial role in securing his admission to Stanford Business School.

In 2017, during an interview with Forbes, he shared that an article about him, detailing his role as a chimney sweep and featuring a picture of him perched on an icy chimney in frigid Fargo weather, was published by the college newspaper. This story made its way to the Associated Press wire service, causing quite a commotion at the Stanford admissions office afterward.

Burgum is the father of three kids, previously shared with his former spouse Karen Stoker, and he’s been wedded to Kathryn Helgaas since 2016.

Originally hailing from Glen Rose, Texas, Brooke Rollins earned a degree in agricultural development from Texas A&M University and later obtained her Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Texas School of Law.

In the White House during Donald Trump’s initial term, her role included serving as Director of the Domestic Policy Council and Assistant to the President for Strategic Planning.

Prior to her appointment as head of the Department of Agriculture, Rollins served as the CEO and president of the America First Policy Institute, an organization she established in 2021 with the purpose of advancing Donald Trump’s political platform.

In my personal life, outside of official duties, I frequently find myself chauffeuring my energetic brood of four around Fort Worth – from baseball fields, cattle shows, piano studios, and even Aggie football matches. My husband, Mark Rollins, joins me in this whirlwind journey of parenthood.

Prior to his tenure in Trump’s administration, Howard Lutnick held the positions of CEO and president at financial services company Cantor Fitzgerald. He climbed up the corporate ladder starting from an entry-level position as a broker in 1983.

Based in New York City, this well-known company tragically suffered a loss of 658 employees on September 11, 2001, as one of the hijacked planes struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center during a terrorist attack.

For 35 consecutive days in 2006, Lutnick attended twenty funerals each day, as his brother Gary was among the deceased. This meant that there were instances where he couldn’t make it to the funerals of his closest friends. On one particularly difficult day, both his best friend’s brother and his college roommate’s brother were being laid to rest at the same time. As a result, Lutnick was forced to split his attendance, with his wife going to one funeral and him attending the other.

Speaking from the heart of an ardent admirer, when queried about my progression, I liken it to riding a surfboard on a colossal wave. If I dared to glance over my shoulder, that wave could swallow me up, and I’m not sure I’d be able to carry on as I am now.

Lutnick has four children with wife Allison Lambert.

Lori Chavez-DeRemer held the position of mayor for Happy Valley, Oregon from 2011 to 2019, and subsequently made history by becoming the initial Republican female congresswoman representing her state in 2022.

Despite not being re-elected, the Californian native (who is also a pro-union child of a Mexican-American Teamster father) now has an opportunity to serve in President Trump’s second term cabinet.

Chavez-DeRemer is the mother of twin daughters, married to her longtime sweetheart Dr. Shawn DeRemer. In 2024, they will celebrate their 33rd wedding anniversary. On this occasion, she shared on Instagram, “The years pass swiftly because we have chosen to stand by a ‘remarkable love’ that’s consistently worth defending.

In just under two weeks following her confirmation as Labor Secretary on March 11, 2025, the DeRemers welcomed a new addition to their family as grandparents.

As a die-hard Democrat and longtime admirer of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., I was taken aback when he announced his allegiance to the Trump camp, following the demise of his own 2024 presidential aspirations. It’s hard to imagine the Kennedy legacy aligning with the Trump administration, but it seems that political shifts can indeed be unpredictable.

Among Robert F. Kennedy and Ethel Kennedy’s 11 children, it is the environmental lawyer who is currently leading the “MAHA” (make America healthy again) movement that has gained more attention in recent years for expressing doubts about the safety of vaccines and psychotropic drugs, which has sometimes caused friction within his own family.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but express my feelings about the recent events. My esteemed sister, Kerry Kennedy, has passionately criticized what she sees as a baffling attempt to dishonor our father’s legacy by endorsing Trump. On a similar note, my cherished cousin, Caroline Kennedy, penned an open letter in January 2025, labeling me a ‘predator.’ In this heartfelt missive, she strongly advocated for the Senate to refrain from confirming me as the HHS secretary.

On a personal note, Kennedy is the father of six children: Two from his first marriage to Emily Black, and four with his late second wife Mary Richardson, who tragically took her own life in 2012. He has been wedded to Cheryl Hines, an actress known for her role in ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’, since 2014.

Previously, Scott Turner, a former NFL player, served as the representative for Texas’ 33rd congressional district from 2013 to 2017. In 2019, Trump appointed him to lead the White House Opportunity and Revitalization Council.

In the 2016 NFL Player Engagement interview, he stated that his parents and godparents had consistently guided him to put others first. They emphasized the importance of caring for people around me, working diligently, and maintaining strong faith…It’s not always simple, but you must decide in your mind that this is what you will do.

Apart from being an entrepreneur and a Baptist pastor, he has been married to his wife, Robin Turner, a fellow alum of the University of Illinois, since 1995. In 2009, the couple welcomed Scott’s nephew, Solomon, into their family. Prior to joining them, Solomon played football at Baylor and Hawaii before becoming a walk-on player at Illinois.

In his interview with Saturday Tradition in 2022, Solomon expressed gratitude by saying, “Without my uncle and aunt, I’m not sure where I would have ended up. To me, they are more than just role models; they’ve been like my father figures. Coming here to do this, for me, feels like a way of thanking them.

Sean Duffy first made a name for himself in 1997 as a housemate on The Real World: Boston.

He has nine children with Rachel Campos-Duffy, whom he met while competing on Road Rules: All Stars in 1998. They got married the very next year.

For eight years, Duffy served as the District Attorney in Ashland County, his home state of Wisconsin. From 2011 to 2019, he represented the people in Congress. He stepped down from his position in August of that year, explaining it was due to concerns about the health of his unborn ninth child.

He clarified on Fox & Friends that following her birth, if it’s within a span of two to six months, she may require an open-heart surgery. Essentially, they would have to perform the procedure to correct any issues with her heart.

Duffy commented, “I have a strong affection for politics, but my family is equally important to me, and it’s all about finding the right balance. The work schedule can be demanding. I’m in Washington four days a week, and then I return home to Rachel.” While traveling throughout my district, interacting with people, he noted, “as members of Congress, we sometimes take a fair amount of criticism. We often serve as a common target for ridicule.

In “The Real World”, he shared that he was compelled to cohabit with individuals who were strikingly distinct from himself, as he conveyed to NCTA in May 2019. At first, upon arrival, the stark contrasts between him and his roommates were evident. However, upon departing, he discovered that he shared far more commonalities with them than he had initially thought.

He found it astonishing how much common ground there was for collaboration on legislation when he likened the situation to navigating the aisles in Congress.

Known as an enthusiast for energy matters, Chris Wright, is the originator of Pinnacle Technologies. As per his biography from the Department of Energy, this company is credited with establishing the sector that maps hydraulic fracturing, often referred to as fracking.

In my professional journey prior to my cabinet appointment, I held the position of CEO at Liberty Energy, which ranks among the top two fracking companies in the U.S.

Wright, who was deeply devoted as a father and grandfather, enjoyed activities such as skiing, cycling, rock climbing, and spending time outdoors, according to his biography, resided in Colorado prior to their move to Washington D.C., alongside his wife Liz.

In 1966, Linda McMahon (formerly Edwards) exchanged vows with her then 21-year-old husband, Vince McMahon, at the age of 17, having completed high school first. Despite her initial aspiration to become a French teacher, she eventually co-managed the family enterprise, World Wrestling Entertainment, from 1980 until 2009.

During Trump’s initial term from 2017 to 2019, McMahon held the position of Administrator for the Small Business Administration. Following his re-election in 2024, this six-grandmother served as a co-chair for the transition team and was appointed to lead the U.S. Department of Education, an institution that Trump intends to dissolve.

McMahon expressed strong support for the president’s initiative aimed at devolving education back to the states. He shares the president’s viewpoint that the most effective education occurs when it’s closer to the student.

In November 2024, it was confirmed by McMahon’s lawyer that the ex-WWE executive and her husband were living apart despite still being legally married, as reported by the Washington Post. Their son Shane McMahon and daughter Stephanie McMahon are both former wrestlers, while Paul “Triple H” Levesque, their son-in-law, holds the position of Chief Content Officer at WWE.

Colonel Doug Collins, a member of the United States Air Force Reserve, holds a law degree and previously served as a representative in the Georgia State House, a U.S. Congressman, and a military chaplain.

However, as stated in his Veterans Affairs biography, he primarily identifies himself as a husband to Lisa and a father to Jordan, Copelan, and Cameron.

Since 2019, Kristi Noem has served as Governor of South Dakota. Speculations arose suggesting she might be considered as a potential running mate for Trump in 2024; however, these rumors subsided when she revealed an incident about shooting her family’s unruly dog in her memoir titled “No Going Back.

Undeterred by debate, President Trump chose Noem, a former congresswoman (from 2011 to 2019) who sat on the House Armed Services Committee, to lead the Department of Homeland Security. This department’s role is to safeguard the United States from both domestic and foreign threats.

In 1992, the former South Dakota Snow Queen got married to Byron Noem, and together they have three kids.
