In a thrilling turn of events, Dr. Stone has made his comeback for the initial set of episodes in the anime’s fourth and concluding season. The series has launched anew with the introduction of fresh opening and closing themes. Titled Dr. Stone Science Future, this fourth season follows the original manga series by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi. As the manga has concluded, this final season will be adapting its climactic moments. The entirety of this last chapter will span three complete seasons with pauses in between, and the first installment of these segments is currently airing this Winter.
Dr. Stone: Science Future, currently airing as part of the Winter 2025 anime lineup, promises to be one of the standout titles. The initial episodes have propelled Senku Ishigami and his Kingdom of Science into a fresh journey. A new opening theme, “CASANOVA POSSE” by ALI, has been introduced, and you can watch the version without credits in the video above. The new ending theme for the season, “Rolling Stone,” is performed by BREIMEN, and it’s available to view below.
What to Know for Dr. Stone’s Final Season
As a die-hard fan, I’m thrilled to announce that the final season of “Dr. Stone Science Future” is now airing this Winter! You can catch it, along with the English dubbed version, exclusively on Crunchyroll. This season brings back the original staff and voice actors, and is planned for a total run of three cours (parts). Although there will be breaks between these episodes batches, it’s still uncertain how long each break will last. So, we can anticipate that this anime will reach its epic conclusion some time in 2026, marking the true grand finale!
In the fresh installment of Dr. Stone, there’s a wealth of content drawn from the comic series, ensuring fans have much to anticipate until it concludes. As hinted by the latest opening, a pivotal new character is introduced who will act as one of Senku’s final major adversaries. With their Kingdom of Science aiming to explore other nations like the re-emerged United States of America for supplies, they won’t be alone in this stone world; other civilizations have resurfaced too.
How Will Dr. Stone End?
The original Dr. Stone manga by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi concluded in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2022, leaving ample material for the anime to adapt before wrapping up its storyline as well. Given that the manga has reached its conclusion, it provides a clear path for the anime to follow as it delves into these last chapters. Additionally, some bonus chapters were published following the main storyline’s end, so if the anime chooses to do so, it could explore even more beyond that point.
I’m thrilled about the upcoming final season! Unlike previous seasons where Senku was battling against the Tsukasa Empire, this time he’ll face his first direct intellectual rival since the beginning. This opponent shares the same level of intelligence as Senku, making it a fascinating match-up that fans haven’t witnessed before in the anime. It’s going to be an exciting spectacle to see two scientists clash intellectually as we approach the conclusion of this series. Now, I can’t wait to see how the creators bring this epic confrontation to life over the next couple of years!
