As someone who’s been following Dragon Ball since its early days on TV, I can confidently say that Beerus’ introduction was nothing short of a game-changer for the franchise. The cosplay of this god of destruction is simply amazing and takes me back to the thrilling moments when we first learned about the existence of gods in the Dragon Ball universe.
The anime series Dragon Ball caused quite a stir when it introduced deities into its multiverse, and one fantastic cosplay is helping to recreate this impact with the character of God of Destruction Beerus. In the movie Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, we learned that there was an entire line of gods above all the higher-dimensional beings we had previously encountered, and these deities were far stronger than any opponent Goku had faced up to that point. Although he managed to achieve a truce with the deity at the end of the film, this was merely the beginning of the extraordinary characters and battles that would follow.
The debut of Beerus in Dragon Ball sparked significant transformations within the series that continue to captivate fans, and paved the way for a vast array of potential tales yet to be unfolded for Goku and his companions over the forthcoming years. As Dragon Ball approaches its 40th anniversary, this period is regarded as a time of unprecedented evolution in the franchise. Artistically talented individual artistjodysteel on Instagram is contributing to the celebration by showcasing impressive Beerus cosplay on their account. Don’t forget to take a peek:
What’s Next for Dragon Ball?
Dragon Ball is set to make a grand return this year with the all-new anime series, Dragon Ball Daima. This upcoming show is scheduled for release sometime in Fall to mark the 40th anniversary of the franchise. As of now, a specific release date hasn’t been confirmed yet. The original creator of Dragon Ball, Akira Toriyama, contributed to the development of the main story and character designs for Dragon Ball Daima. Yoshitaka Yashima and Aya Komaki are directing the series at Toei Animation, Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru is handling the animation adaptation of Toriyama’s designs, and Yuuko Kakihara is overseeing and writing the scripts.
Masako Nozawa is back to lend her voice to Kid Goku once more in the anime, making her the sole cast member confirmed thus far. Earlier, Akira Toriyama hinted at the original plot for “Dragon Ball Grand Mission” before his demise: A clandestine event causes Goku and his companions to shrink. To set things right, they’ll journey to a new, enigmatic world filled with unfamiliar dangers and thrilling action. Interestingly, Goku will use his Power Pole in combat again – an event not seen for quite some time.
