As a seasoned gamer and long-time Dragon Ball fanatic with decades of memories etched into my psyche, I can’t help but share my thoughts on this tantalizing piece of news. The idea of Bulma transforming into a Saiyan is like imagining a world where Goku could master cooking or Piccolo became an expert in poetry – it’s intriguing, to say the least!
While Bulma has never transformed into a Super Saiyan or learned how to master Ultra Instinct, the head of Capsule Corporation has remained a stalwart part of the Dragon Ball franchise. Settling down with the Saiyan Prince Vegeta and having two children in Trunks and Bulla, the anime character who appeared in the original Dragon Ball series has always been more of a thinker than a fighter. While anime cosplay in the past has focused on Bulma more times than we can count, one cosplayer has taken the opportunity to imagine what Vegeta’s partner might look like had she been born a Saiyan.
In the Dragon Ball series, it’s clear that humans generally lack the power compared to Saiyans, Namekians, gods, and other alien beings. Although human characters like Krillin, Master Roshi, Yamcha, and Tenshinhan have been featured in Dragon Ball Super, they are far from reaching the power levels of Goku, Vegeta, and Gohan. With Dragon Ball Daima coming this October, humans will shrink to child sizes, making it doubtful that they’ll get stronger in the anime anytime soon.
Bulma Becomes a Saiyan
Although it’s certain that “Dragon Ball” will resume with “Dragon Ball Daima,” there’s uncertainty about the future of the “Dragon Ball Super” anime. Earlier, the Z-Fighters reappeared in the sequel series due to the movie “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.” However, following the passing of Akira Toriyama, the manga has been put on an open-ended pause. At present, there’s no confirmation about when or if the manga will resume, leaving fans in suspense as they wonder whether the Z-Fighters’ storyline in print will progress further or if the last chapter marked the end of the series.
To get a peek into the next phase of Dragon Ball’s animated journey, here’s how Toei Animation sums up Dragon Ball Daima: “Because of a plot twist, Goku and his companions are shrunken. To rectify the situation, they embark on a new voyage to an uncharted world! It’s a thrilling expedition filled with intense action in a strange and enigmatic realm. As Goku adjusts to his miniature size, he resorts to using his Power Pole in combat – an unusual move that hasn’t been seen for quite some time.”
