The casual mention of Universe 7 by Supreme Kai in front of Goku without any apparent reaction from our favorite Saiyan leaves me scratching my head.

This timeline has been established through the world-building in the initial episodes of “Dragon Ball Daima”, and it’s important to note that this series is canon and connects directly to “Dragon Ball Super”. There’s a scene in Episode 5 of “Dragon Ball Daima” that hints at events from “Dragon Ball Super” taking place, but it also leaves us wondering about the specifics of how these stories will intertwine.
The concept of Universe 7 was initially introduced in the first episode of “Dragon Ball Daima”. This was during the journey of Gomah, Degesu, and Neva as they headed towards Earth to search for the Dragon Balls and fulfill a wish (which eventually became one single wish). In their interaction with the smaller demonic creatures within Warp-sama, Degesu clarified that the group had to visit Universe 7. This marked our first official link between “Dragon Ball Daima” and “Dragon Ball Super”, and it’s logical that the denizens of the Demon Realm would be aware of the multiverse dynamics given their power to observe beyond their realm.
In Dragon Ball Daima’s Episode 5, the subject of Universe 7 reappears. In the “Panzy” episode, the Supreme Kai of Universe 7 engages in a conversation with a comical demon named Hybis. This chat ensues after Goku, Glorio, and the Supreme Kai manage to persuade King Kadan to back their mission. Since Hybis needs to round up Goku’s team which includes Vegeta, Piccolo, and possibly Bulma, the Supreme Kai instructs the demon to travel to Universe 7. This is to guarantee that the group has the necessary pin code and can gain entry to the Demon Realm.
In this brief exchange, it’s worth noting that the Supreme Kai casually discusses Universe 7 in full view of Goku. He doesn’t even try to keep his comment confidential, and those around him seem unfazed by the discussion. Although the idea of a multiverse is apparently accepted within the Demon Realm, given the Dragon Ball Daimao and Dragon Ball Super timeline, one would expect Goku to express curiosity or ask questions about Universe 7, considering it’s his own universe.

The information we have about multiple universises in the Dragon Ball universe is derived from two specific events: In the movie “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods,” Beerus imparts his knowledge about the multiverse to Goku following their fight near the edge of space. In “Dragon Ball Super” Episode 28, titled “The 6th Universe’s Destroyer! His Name Is Champa!”, it is revealed that there are additional universises beyond Universe 7 when Champa and Vados visit Beerus and Whis. During this visit, Goku and Vegeta, who have been training with Whis, learn about Champa, a destroyer from Universe 6. This surprise suggests that Goku has not been sharing his knowledge of the multiverse with others, indicating its scope remains limited to him.
In the latest episode 5 of Dragon Ball Daima, there’s been a topic that has sparked discussions among fans – potential retcons and canon consistency. Given the anticipation surrounding this series, it’s not surprising that this will likely be another hot topic. It seems that the show might delve into this matter in the upcoming episodes, as we may witness Goku questioning Supreme Kai about “Universe 7” in episode 6, following their plane crash and subsequent walk together.
