As a longtime Dragon Ball fan, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming North American tour and the release of Dragon Ball Daima! Having grown up with Goku and his friends, I’ve watched the franchise evolve over the years and it’s amazing to see how it continues to captivate audiences. The announcement that Toei Animation and Shueisha are bringing a tour across North America is an incredible way to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Dragon Ball’s original manga debut.
The highly anticipated “Dragon Ball Daima” is set to debut in Japan this Fall, with Toei Animation and Shueisha marking the occasion by embarking on a North American tour. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Akira Toriyama’s initial manga publication in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine later this year, “Dragon Ball” is bringing fans a fresh take on the franchise. Goku and other beloved characters are undergoing significant transformations as part of this exciting new anime project. Luckily, we won’t have to wait much longer to witness these changes unfold.
Starting this October, “Dragon Ball Daima” anime series will make its way to North America for a live tour. Kick-starting on November 22-24 at the Mall of America in Minnesota, the tour will next stop at American Dream mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey on December 13-15. The final destination will be West Edmonton Mall in Alberta, Canada on February 14-16. Fans can look forward to engaging activities, freebies and other exciting offerings during this tour, so mark your calendars if you’re nearby!
When Is Dragon Ball Daima Coming Out?
The new anime series titled “Dragon Ball Daima” is scheduled to premiere this October as part of the Fall 2024 anime lineup. Although there’s no official announcement regarding its international release yet, fans are excited as legendary creator Akira Toriyama collaborated on the story and character designs with Yoshitaka Yashima and Aya Komaki. Toei Animation is producing the series under the direction of Yoshitaka Yashima and Aya Komaki, while Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru handles the animation adaptation based on Toriyama’s original designs. Yuuko Kakihara oversees scriptwriting for the project.
I’m thrilled to share the news that Masako Nozawa will be back lending her voice to beloved character Goku in the upcoming “Dragon Ball Daima” anime! So far, she is the only cast member confirmed by the production team. The storyline remains shrouded in mystery, but Toriyama himself has given us a tantalizing sneak peek: “Because of a nefarious plot, Goku and his pals are shrunken down to size. To set things right, they’ll embark on an epic journey to a new realm! It’s a thrilling adventure filled with intense action in a strange and enigmatic land. With his diminutive stature, Goku employs his trusty Power Pole in battle – a technique not seen in ages.”
