Dragon Ball Daima Reveals Kaioshin’s Origin Story (And It Is Weird)

As a seasoned gamer and anime aficionado with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say that “Dragon Ball Daima” has been a rollercoaster ride of epic proportions! The latest episode’s revelation about Kaioshin’s origin story is nothing short of mind-blowing.

Dragon Ball Daima is one of the last projects from series creator Akira Toriyama, who had tragically passed away earlier this year. The new anime series might take place prior to the events of Dragon Ball Super but that isn’t stopping the story from dropping some major earth-shattering info bombs on anime viewers. With the main focus of the series being the Demon Realm, truths about the Majin race have been coming fast and furious, which includes Kaioshin. In the sixth episode of Dragon Ball Daima, we are told the origin of the Supreme Kai and we definitely did not see it coming as to how this deity was born.

heads up: If you haven’t seen Dragon Ball Daima’s sixth episode yet, be aware that we’re about to discuss major spoilers

Kaioshin’s Origin Story Revealed

In the gaming world I inhabit, let me share an unusual tale about my kind, the Glinds. Unlike most beings, we don’t hatch from eggs or give birth naturally. Instead, we emerge from five mystical trees known as “Glind Trees” in the Demon Realm. Witnessing the birth of a Kaioshin from one such tree is quite a spectacle! It’s surreal to see a newborn emerging from the heart of a tree – an event that unfolds right before our eyes here. To add to the intrigue, this miniature Kai reveals that members of my race don’t have traditional gender identities, which certainly keeps anime enthusiasts on their toes!

Kaioshin clarifies that his brother, known as Degasu, and sister, Dr. Anisu, are individuals to watch closely. Degasu has been recognized as the Kaioshin of the Demon Realm, while Anisu may not hold this position in the Majin realm at present, but her actions suggest she’s working on something significant behind the scenes. Although Son Goku is currently stronger than the Supreme Kai, it will be intriguing to compare his power level with that of Kaioshin’s siblings.

Dr. Anisu: Daima’s Big Bad?

It appears Dr. Anisu has been concealing some activities. Various hints have been scattered throughout the early episodes of Dragon Ball Daima, suggesting that the scientist from the Demon Realm has secret schemes underway. The latest evidence of this came to light in the sixth episode, as it was exposed that Glorio seems to be working for Kaioshin’s brother. While it’s still unclear what Anisu’s ultimate goal is, her potential threat could prove to be much greater than Gomah, as the situation becomes increasingly clearer.

Fortunately, despite Goku having a disadvantage due to his smaller physique and the unique environment of the Demon Realm, episode six demonstrates that the Z-Fighter is no pushover. In a sparring match with Glorio, Goku transforms into Super Saiyan once more and emerges victorious against the Majin. Although they are counting on Vegeta and Piccolo, it appears that the Earth-bound Z-Fighters have encountered some difficulties.
