Dragon Ball Daima Reveals Piccolo’s Real Name (And Other Namek Secrets)

As a long-time aficionado of the Dragon Ball universe, I must say that the latest revelations in Daima have left me utterly enthralled! The unveiling of Piccolo’s original name, Katatz, has added yet another layer to this iconic character’s enigmatic past. It seems that even our beloved Piccolo harbors secrets deeper than his green skin.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but get excited about the latest installment of “Dragon Ball Daima”! Contrary to some assumptions that it might follow or overlap with “Dragon Ball Super”, creator Akira Toriyama has filled this Z-sequel with hidden gems of lore. So far, we’ve learned significant insights into the origins of the Supreme Kai race and the Namekians.

Head’s up! If you haven’t seen Dragon Ball Daima episode 11 yet, you should know that we’re about to delve into territory filled with major spoilers. In an unexpected turn of events, the last Namekian in the Demon Realm, Neva, meets Goku and his group during their Dragon Balls hunt. This ancient Namekian discloses a fascinating tidbit: the original Piccolo, who was both Kami and Demon Lord Piccolo, was actually named Katatz. Interestingly, it appears that the present-day Piccolo has been aware of this all along but hasn’t shared it with anyone else, leading us to ponder what other secrets the little green warrior may be hiding.

The Nameless Namekian Explained

For anyone needing a reminder about Dragon Ball mythology, Piccolo has undergone significant transformations throughout the shonen series. Initially appearing in the original Dragon Ball as Demon Lord Piccolo, he represented the malevolent side of the Nameless Namekian. To achieve divinity on Earth, this once-nameless Namekian separated his good and evil halves, with the former evolving into Kami.

In the original storyline, when young Goku defeated the Demon Lord Piccolo, he didn’t actually give birth but rather spawned a new Piccolo by releasing an egg just before his death. At first, this new Piccolo was an adversary, but as the series progressed in Z, his allegiance shifted due to interactions with Gohan and other Z-Fighters during their joint battles. With only 11 episodes having been aired so far, there’s still more than half of the series left, suggesting that there may be many more secrets yet to uncover in the upcoming anime episodes.

Neva The Namekian Up To No Good

As Neva shares his reasons for associating with Gomah and Degetsu, the aged Namekian appears to conceal certain truths. Upon encountering Neva in the second Tamagami, the adversary recognizes that Vegeta poses a formidable challenge.

Absolutely, the revelations about Namekians aren’t the only shocking moments in Daima’s latest episode. Desperate to work with Majin Kuu, Dr. Anisu has teamed up with Grand Witch Marba again to create a new being called Majin Duu. By incorporating more of Buu’s power and burying a Saibaman seed even deeper, Majin Duu seems to be a formidable opponent compared to what we knew about Majin Kuu. This could potentially pose significant problems for the Z-Fighters in the coming battles.
