Dragon Ball Daima Shares Big Production Update

As a die-hard Dragon Ball fan who’s been following this series since its inception, I can barely contain my excitement for the upcoming “Dragon Ball Daima” anime! With Akira Toriyama himself involved in crafting the original story and character designs, it promises to be a fresh take on the beloved franchise that we all know and love.

In October, we’re eagerly awaiting the premiere of the long-anticipated “Dragon Ball Daima” series. The team responsible for its creation has recently offered an exciting update on its progress. This year marks the 40th anniversary of Akira Toriyama’s original manga, which first appeared in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine this Fall. To commemorate this milestone, a fresh “Dragon Ball” anime series will be unveiled, featuring an unprecedented original story not previously explored in any of the previous anime or manga installments. However, details about the new series have been scarce, with only a few promotional materials and trailers available to give us a glimpse.

The wait for the new anime “Dragon Ball Daima” won’t last much longer. According to reports from Mantan Web and Yuichi Nakajima, head of programming at Fuji TV, the entire series has already been produced and is ready for broadcast on October 11th in Japan. This suggests that there will be no production delays for upcoming episodes, as the whole series seems to have been prepared ahead of time.

Dragon Ball Daima Release Date

The anime titled “Dragon Ball Daima” is set to debut on October 11th in Japan, but its international release details and streaming platforms remain unannounced at this point. Notably, the original creator of “Dragon Ball”, Akira Toriyama, has contributed to the main storyline and character designs for “Dragon Ball Daima”. The series is being directed by Yoshitaka Yashima and Aya Komaki, under Toei Animation. Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru is responsible for animating Toriyama’s designs, while Yuuko Kakihara oversees and writes the scripts.

Masako Nozawa will be reprising her role as Goku in the anime, making her the only voice actor confirmed for “Dragon Ball Grandline” at this point (with the English dub’s release yet to be confirmed). Earlier, Akira Toriyama had hinted that “Dragon Ball Grandline” would feature a new original story before his passing.

Because of a secret plot, Goku and his companions are shrunken. To rectify the situation, they’ll embark on a journey to a brand new world! It promises to be an epic adventure filled with thrilling action, as they explore a strange and enigmatic realm. Given his diminutive stature, Goku resorts to using his Power Pole in combat, a rare sight indeed.
