Dragon Ball Just Gave Jiren a New Form

As a die-hard Dragon Ball fan with decades of fandom under my belt, I must say that the upcoming DLC for Xenoverse 2, Future Saga Chapter 2, has me absolutely buzzing! Jiren, already a formidable opponent in his Full Power form, is getting an upgrade to an Ultra Supervillain form, and it’s sending chills down my spine.

In the saga of Dragon Ball Super’s Tournament of Power, Jiren from Universe 11 emerged as the overpowering figure, not only claiming the title of strongest fighter in his universe but also earning a place among the toughest adversaries ever faced by Goku, Frieza, Android 17, and their comrades from Universe 7. It required the combined efforts of these three warriors to finally defeat Jiren in the closing episodes of Dragon Ball Super. Interestingly, the game Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 has further amplified Jiren’s might by introducing a new form for him, reminiscent of transformations exhibited by characters like Vegeta and Goku Black during their battles.

Due to the upcoming “Future Saga Chapter 2” DLC for “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2,” Jiren will acquire an Ultra Supervillain form. This new form has been created within the game itself by Fu, and it can be identified by a dark black and purple aura that surrounds characters in their Ultra Supervillain state, much like the aura around Super Saiyan Rosé Goku Black. Additionally, those who transform into an Ultra Supervillain have a distinctive purple crystal-like structure visible in their chest, as depicted in the teaser trailer for the DLC.

If you’re just discovering this, you can delve deeper into Ultra Supervillain here, but given the hints in the trailer, it’s evident that Jiren transforming into Ultra Supervillain is a development that might cause concern across all Dragon Ball universes. Since Jiren already has his (Full Power) form in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, it appears this Future Saga Chapter 2 DLC may introduce an upgraded version, similar to the Ultra Supervillain or Full Power, of Jiren, along with Belmod, if fans’ assumptions are correct.

In his Ultra Supervillain form, Jiren will join the ranks of four characters in the Dragon Ball series who possess this transformation, including Vegeta, Goku Black, and Broly. At present, we don’t know when the Future Saga Chapter 2 DLC will be released, but it is expected to be followed by two more DLCs, keeping the ongoing flow of content for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. The first chapter of the Future Saga introduced Ultra Supervillain forms for Vegeta, Goku Black, and a second version of Vegeta, so if Jiren is to receive this form in Future Saga Chapter 2, it’s possible that we could see even more Ultra Supervillain forms in the subsequent DLCs.
