So far, everything we’ve glimpsed of the Third Demon World suggests it’s the least prestigious among all Demon Worlds. To make matters worse, a law enforcement group called the Gendarmerie has been taking advantage of them by stealing their life energy with these special collars. Interestingly, it appears that the Supreme Kai possesses the power to take off these collars from every resident in the Third Demon World, provided he’s given the chance.
What Is the Supreme Kai’s Magic?
In earlier Dragon Ball Daima episodes, it’s been established that Majins typically possess a unique magical ability, which can be further refined and mastered to greater degrees. On the other hand, demons are limited to only one type of magic. This limitation has left demons in the Third Demon World vulnerable, as we’ve witnessed their inability to effectively respond to recent events. For instance, we’ve seen the Gendarmerie forcibly age citizens by touching their collars and decreasing their lifeforce.
In Episode 7, it’s disclosed that these peculiar neckpieces are fitted on them at birth and grow with the individuals throughout their lives. Later, the character known as Supreme Kai (whose true demon name is “Nahare”) uncovers that these collars are crafted from a unique metal called Katchintite, exclusively found on Planet Kaishin, where the Glind race originated. The Supreme Kai hypothesizes that his sister, Dr. Arinsu, created these collars during Dabura’s rule as the Supreme Demon King. Translating one collar-break might seem straightforward, but it’s a completely different challenge to dismantle an entire system causing these collars. As Goku and his companions journey to the other realms, maybe the Supreme Kai could destroy the source of these collars with his magic, thereby annihilating them all simultaneously. It appears that these collars are linked to a greater entity, as the law enforcement known as the Gendarmerie can trace the Third World Demons using these collars. The life force within these beings seems to be contained in gems or other metals, and it’s evident that this energy isn’t just disappearing—it has to be going somewhere.
It’s possible that Dragon Ball Daima is laying the groundwork for a storyline where Goku and Supreme Kai could potentially rescue the entire Demon Realm in its entirety. As we’ve seen from the series so far, demons aren’t always as malevolent as their name might imply – they appear to be like ordinary people who are often just swept up in events beyond their control. It seems that the Third Demon World is facing a crisis of unprecedented proportions that requires intervention on a grand scale. The other two demon worlds may have different circumstances, but for now, our focus lies primarily with this one.
In the saga of Dragon Ball Daimaō, the quest for securing the Demon Realm’s Dragon Balls may serve as a means to retract the wish that makes everyone younger. However, it might also have the ability to undo all the havoc wreaked by past Supreme Demon Kings.
