As a lifelong Dragon Ball fan, I can’t contain my excitement for the upcoming series, Dragon Ball Daima! The return of Goku and the promise of new adventures has me on cloud nine. And what better way to relive old memories than with the voice actress who started it all – Stephanie Nadolny!
The popular anime series Dragon Ball is nearing another major installment. Within less than a month, viewers worldwide are eagerly awaiting Son Goku as he introduces Dragon Ball Super to television screens. This upcoming anime series hints at resuming Saiyan adventures following a lengthy hiatus, and the return of Goku seems to bring about some changes in appearance. According to confirmed reports, Goku will be transformed into a child when the series airs, necessitating the selection of a new voice actor for our beloved hero.
Instead of saying “Or rather,” consider starting with “In fact,” for a more positive tone:
Who Is Stephanie Nadolny?
If you’re not familiar with Nadolny, you can catch her performances by watching the English dub of Dragon Ball. Decades ago, Nadolny lent her voice to Kid Goku in the initial anime series and reprised that role for flashbacks in Dragon Ball Z while also voicing Kid Gohan. Later on, she appeared in Dragon Ball GT as Kid Goku, along with other roles. However, when Dragon Ball Z Kai was launched, the role of Kid Goku was reassigned to Colleen Clinkenbeard. Despite this change, the trailer for Dragon Ball Daima seems to hint that Nadolny might be returning to her iconic role.
Apart from Dragon Ball, Nadolny has also contributed to other anime dubs such as Yu Yu Hakusho, Hell Girl, and Detective Conan. Since she’s primarily known for her voice work with Goku, it’s delightful to see her return to the role. Given that fans have been eagerly anticipating the release of Dragon Ball Daima, excitement for Goku is running high.
In Japan, the voice actor Masako Nozawa, who has voiced every version of Goku since his debut on television as a Saiyan, will continue to lend her voice to both Mini and Adult Goku in the upcoming series “Dragon Ball Daima”. From “Dragon Ball” to “Dragon Ball Super”, and all the instalments in between, Nozawa has been present throughout Goku’s journey. Therefore, her iconic role as Goku remains unchallenged in this new series.
When Does Dragon Ball Daima Premiere?
To catch the English dubbed version of “Dragon Ball Daima“, you’ll have to exercise a bit of patience. The anime is set to debut in Japan on October 11th, and as per the norm, platforms such as Crunchyroll will air the series with subtitles first. After that, you can expect the English dubbed version to follow suit.
In relation to the English version, Toei Animation plans to debut “Dragon Ball Daima” in cinemas through Fathom Events. Beginning November 10, the first three episodes of this series will be shown in theatres, with each episode being dubbed. If you’re interested in attending this unique event, tickets are expected to be available for purchase soon.
