Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO Crosses 122,000 Concurrent Steam Players Following Worldwide Launch

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of Dragon Ball fandom under my belt, I can confidently say that Bandai Namco’s Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO has truly taken me to new heights of excitement and nostalgia. Having grown up with Budokai Tenkaichi 3, it’s a thrill to see the series evolve in such an impressive manner.

Worldwide, Bandai Namco’s game titled “Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO” is now accessible for Standard Edition owners on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. During its advanced access, it managed to surpass 91,000 simultaneous players on Steam, even outperforming anticipated games like “Street Fighter 6” and “Tekken 8“. At the moment of writing this, it has set a new record with 122,554 players.

Following up on Dragon Ball: Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Sparking! ZERO showcases a total of 182 playable characters. Among them are fan-loved figures such as Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo, Trunks, Frieza, and more. Characters from Dragon Ball Super, like Toppo, Jiren, Cabba, Kale, Caulifla, Beerus, and Whis, make their debut in the game. A fresh Episode Battle mode has been added, where you can play as eight different characters across various sagas.

As an avid gaming enthusiast, I’m thrilled about the latest addition – Custom Battle! This innovative feature empowers us to design our very own dream encounters, tailoring the rules and conditions to our liking. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, online multiplayer makes a comeback! Destruction Point (DP) Battle brings a fresh twist to ranked play, emphasizing the importance of strategic team-building for a unique gaming experience.

The launch of “Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO” has been a hit, but there’s even more excitement to come! We’re currently developing three DLC packs featuring characters from both “Dragon Ball Daima” and “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero”. Keep an eye out for updates in the upcoming months.
