In recent years, Dragon Ball has been particularly impressive with its transformation developments. Transformations such as Beast Gohan, Orange Piccolo, Super Saiyan 4 Goku, and Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta have shown that this shonen series still holds a significant amount of power to surprise fans. Regrettably, one significant transformation for a prominent Z-Fighter remains unanimated. Fortunately, Vegeta’s voice actor Chris Sabat is not holding back and has given us a sneak peek into the form called Ultra Ego.
Initially, let’s discuss the concept of Ultra Ego in Dragon Ball Super and when it first appeared. This transformation was developed by Vegeta, the Saiyan Prince, as a counterpart to Goku’s Ultra Instinct. During his training with Beerus, the God of Destruction, Vegeta unveiled this form during a fight against Granolah in one of the recent manga storylines. Although Ultra Ego didn’t manage to defeat the powerful bounty hunter linked to the Saiyan race, it demonstrated that the Prince of All Saiyans is continuously striving to close the distance between himself and Kakarot (Goku).
Chris Sabat Hints At Ultra Ego
This year at Puerto Rico Comic-Con, I witnessed voice actor Chris Sabat participating in a panel focusing on anime and Dragon Ball. During the session, the man behind Vegeta’s voice reenacted one of the manga panels suggesting the upcoming arrival of Ultra Ego. Although it may still be years before the Granolah The Survivor Arc gets animated, it’s evident that Sabat is eagerly awaiting the opportunity to tackle this fresh endeavor when Dragon Ball Super eventually makes its comeback. You can catch a sneak peek of Ultra Ego in the video below.

Dragon Ball Super’s Comeback
After the completion of “Dragon Ball Daima” not long ago, shonen enthusiasts have been eagerly asking when we might witness the resurrection of “Dragon Ball Super”. Unfortunately, due to the unfortunate demise of its creator Akira Toriyama, the Z-Fighters’ storyline has been on hold in both the manga and its animated adaptation. As “Daima” presented some significant new plot points and transformations even though it was a prequel to Super, it will be intriguing to discover if aspects such as the Demon Realm or Super Saiyan 4 become part of the Z-Fighters’ impending adventures.
It’s fortunate news for fans that both the manga and anime series seem to be returning, according to statements from creators and producers. Although Akira Toriyama may not be directly involved with the future of the shonen, artists like Toyotaro and others who have contributed to the progression of Goku and his companions’ stories are eager to continue telling tales set in this anime universe for years to come.
