Today, there seemed to be a glimmer of anticipation that Dragon Quest 12 might resurface – alas, as usual, the enigmatic development has yet to materialize.
For anyone unaware, May 27th marks Dragon Quest Day – a special day honoring the enduring video game franchise. This is typically the time when any upcoming Dragon Quest news or announcements are revealed to the public.
Indeed, it seems that Dragon Quest 12 hasn’t quite made its grand entrance yet. Earlier this month, series creator Yuji Horii gave fans a taste of anticipation, noting that the game is currently being cooked up, and expressing gratitude for everyone’s understanding and patience.
Interestingly, the exact same occurrence took place a year ago, as the event bypassed its annual observance without any indication or updates since its initial 2021 announcement, which only included a logo.
Fans will need to be content with an upcoming release of the Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake for now, and hopefully, there’ll be news about Dragon Quest 12 coming up fairly soon.
