The updated version of Dragon Quest 3, known as the Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake, is now playable on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and personal computers. In 2025, the remakes of Dragon Quest 1 and 2, which are sequels chronologically, will be released, thus concluding a remake of the original Erdrick Trilogy.
