Today, Nacon is thrilled to unveil the Early Access debut of “Dragonkin: The Banished” on Steam. This fresh Hack ‘N’ Slash title is the brainchild of Eko Software, a Paris-born studio brimming with enthusiasts who adore this genre. In “Dragonkin”, players can expect an authentic gaming experience rooted in the genre’s essential elements, infused with innovative twists that will undoubtedly captivate fans. Notably, the game is also planned for console release upon its full launch.
In Dragonkin: The Banished, you assume the role of one of three selectable dragon hunters, with the ultimate goal of liberating mankind from the encroaching draconic forces. To tackle this mission, the game offers an intricate crafting system through various character enhancement mechanisms, offering fans a multitude of build choices.
Your hero’s skills are honed using a distinct skill system known as the Ancestral Grid, where fragments gathered throughout your adventure are combined. Additionally, you will have a trusty dragonet companion, an extension of your hero with its own abilities, enabling you to create Symbioses that significantly boost your power.
In the City of Montescail, vendors offer equipment and crafting options that contribute to the customization of heroes. As a vibrant hub, players can strategically upgrade and aesthetically enhance their city to unlock additional services and become even more formidable fighters. Once the primary quest is completed, an engaging endgame experience unfolds, offering various game modes such as boss battles, dungeons, and other challenges to refine strategies and prolong gameplay.
Throughout Early Access, the game will receive numerous updates, introducing new hero and city upgrades, endgame modes, environments, and enemy types. Collaborative play for up to four players will be added in Fall 2025, enabling friends to join forces against the Ancient Dragons while sharing city services and bonuses online.
