Drake’s Dad’s Hilarious Take on Kendrick Lamar’s Grammy Triumph!

Drake‘s dad Dennis Graham isn’t in his feelings about Kendrick Lamar‘s big night at the Grammys.

The 70-year-old chose not to comment on Kendrick‘s song “Not Like Us” winning both Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the 2025 Grammy Awards in February, despite its recognition. (You can find the complete list of winners here.)

After the award ceremony, I shared with Joy from TikTok, ” frankly, such matters hold little significance for me. They’re not my concern.

Dennis expressed clearly that he holds no malice towards the “HUMBLE.” rapper, stating instead, “Wishing him all the best, dude. I’m not into any of that nonsense.

During the ceremony, Kendrick deliberately didn’t bring up Drake – known as Aubrey Graham – while receiving his awards, instead opting to highlight and celebrate his hometown, Compton, California.

This place has been my home and anchor for a long time, right from when I was just starting out as a young artist,” he expressed during his Record of the Year acceptance speech, “From the studio sessions where I struggled to create the best lyrics, all the way through high school. I can’t express enough gratitude towards these locations that have been a significant part of my journey.

Kendrick, who recently joined an exclusive group by winning the Record of the Year Grammy (previously won by Childish Gambino in 2019), went on to say that this achievement serves as proof that our city is being revitalized.

The longstanding dispute between the 37-year-old and Drake, aged 38, dates back more than a decade, but it intensified towards the end of 2023. This escalation was triggered by Drake and J. Cole’s release of the song “First Person Shooter,” in which they suggested that the three of them were the top rappers in contemporary hip-hop, fueling their rivalry.

Kendrick expressed disagreement with their statement and retaliated through his song “Like That,” where he rhymed, “I curse the major trio, it’s only about me.

Initially, the trio moved across multiple paths, reminiscent of songs such as J. Cole’s “7 Minute Drill” and Drake’s “Push Up”. However, it wasn’t until Kendrick released “Not Like Us” in May last year that he accused Drake of being a “pedophile”.

Drake, the popular artist known for his hit song “Hotline Bling”, dismissed such allegations in his latest release, “Heart Part 6”. He stated clearly, “You won’t find the name ‘Drake’ on any sex offender lists.
