Chrishell Stause from the show “Selling Sunset” expresses optimism about a possible comeback to Ramsay Street, despite the recent unexpected cancellation of “Neighbours” only a week ago.
The confirmation came through that the Australian soap will take a break starting from December 2025, following its reintroduction on Amazon Freevee only two years prior.
Through expressions of their thoughts, both performers and enthusiasts have weighed in on the matter, and former leading actress Chrishell has voiced her belief that the series will make a comeback in some form or another.
On Instagram, the actress expressed that her one-month stay revealed the stunningly lovely atmosphere of your group. She felt privileged to have been welcomed by the friendliest Australians she has encountered, both on and off set.
She added: “A key lesson I’ve taken from soap operas is that death doesn’t always mean the end. I eagerly anticipate and will enthusiastically welcome your sensational revival from beyond the grave. I myself have returned from death not once, but twice. I extend the same hope for a dramatic comeback to Neighbours!
Starting from September 2023, the revival of the soap opera aired, but Amazon MGM Studios announced that they won’t produce any more episodes beyond the end of the year. This decision coincides with the soap’s 40th anniversary, signifying its conclusion after four decades on television.
Jason Herbison, the Executive Producer of Neighbours, expressed his sentiments through a post on the soap’s social media platforms: “For four decades, audiences worldwide have cherished and supported Neighbours, and we are incredibly proud of its recent accomplishments such as consistently ranking among the Top 10 titles in the UK and receiving our first-ever Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Daytime Series in 2024.
As the curtain falls on this chapter, we express our deep gratitude and appreciation towards Amazon MGM Studios for their significant contributions to ‘Neighbours.’ They’ve successfully reintroduced this cherished and universally adored series to viewers around the world.
