In 2025, the grand DreamHack Dallas event took control of the expansive Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Over 60,000 enthusiasts from around the globe flocked to this gathering. Spanning across three action-packed days, the festivities encompassed gaming competitions, esports events, and community celebrations. The ESL FACEIT Group (EFG) and DreamHack were at the helm of organizing this festival, which covered an impressive area of over one million square feet. The event offered continuous entertainment and set new records for tournaments, promising an unforgettable experience for all attendees.
Approximately 900 content creators, broadcasters, and cosplay enthusiasts were in attendance. DreamHack Dallas blended classic gaming experiences with a touch of Texas charm. It attracted over 22 million hours of online viewership. The combined prize money surpassed $2 million.
According to Guy Blomberg, Event Director of DreamHack Americas, “DreamHack Dallas was one of our grandest events.” He added that fans traveled from various parts of the nation and the enthusiasm on the venue was electrifying.

Team Vitality Wins IEM Dallas, Hits 30th LAN Win
At DreamHack Dallas in the year 2025, Intel® Extreme Masters (IEM) Dallas took place. Team Vitality triumphed over MOUZ with a score of 3-0, claiming the championship title. This marked their impressive 30th consecutive win in LAN series events. The victory also marked their sixth consecutive CS2 championship. A peak audience of over 913,000 viewers tuned in to watch the event.

Quarterfinals: Team Falcons beat GamerLegion 2-1.
The MongolZ beat Aurora 2-0.
Semifinals: MOUZ beat The MongolZ 2-0.

FURIA Ends ESL Impact Reign
During ESL Impact Season 7, FURIA emerged victorious in the tournament. They defeated the Supernova Comets with a score of 2-1 in the final match. This victory brought an end to Imperial’s unbeaten run. The championship was played live at the IEM Arena, and FURIA walked away with the largest portion of the $123,000 prize money.
LA Thieves Win Call of Duty Major IV
Over a span of three action-packed days, the fourth Call of Duty League Major took place. A total of twelve teams participated in this event, all vying for valuable CDL points. In an intense best-of-seven series, the LA Thieves managed to outsmart Atlanta FaZe with a score of 4-2, thus claiming victory. This triumph marked a consecutive win for the LA Thieves as they secured their second Major title in a row.
OpTic Gaming Wins Halo Championship Series
In the Halo Championship Series (HCS), OpTic Gaming triumphed over FaZe Clan with a score of 4-1, earning them a portion of the $150,000 prize money. Allyson “commandstation” Annelle made history as she became the first woman to win an official HCS LAN event.
ENVY Qualifies for Red Bull Home Ground
At the Red Bull Home Ground US Qualifier, ENVY emerged victorious with a score of 2-0 against Maryville University. This victory guaranteed them a place in the main tournament. As a result, ENVY will be representing North America in the Red Bull Home Ground event.

As an enthusiast, I was thrilled to attend DreamHack Dallas, where they held open competitions for Chess and StarCraft II. Not only that, but they also provided opportunities for players to qualify for the Esports World Cup (EWC), making it an exciting event for everyone involved!

GeoGuessr Americas Major Debuts
For the very first time, the GeoGuessr Americas Major tournament took place on U.S. soil. Six elite competitors battled it out for a total prize money of $17,500. In the end, Radu C emerged victorious, further cementing his position as a top-tier player.
Festival Highlights: Cosplay, D&D, and WoW Action
As a gamer, let me share my experience at this event:
I got to witness some electrifying performances on the Main Stage, such as Dungeons and Drag Queens taking center stage with their viral appeal. A.J. and Big Justice hosted the BOOM or DOOM talent show, where creativity was the key ingredient.
The Overwatch 2 Stadium Showdown showcased some top-tier competition among creators, with live action that kept everyone on the edge of their seats. OnlyFangs, a hardcore WoW Classic guild, gave us a thrilling live Blackwing Lair raid performance.
Tyler1 made a special appearance at the event, being resurrected for just this occasion. And let me tell you, it was something to behold!
Lastly, the Cosplay Contest left fans in awe with creative costumes inspired by games and pop culture. It truly was a spectacle to remember!
