About

Fight your way through a trippy, nightmarish western setting to recover the lost memories of your tribe in Blighted, an action RPG with Metroidvania elements from the makers of Guacamelee! Gain control over the potent, reality-bending Blight and solve the enigmas hidden within this world.

Previously, deceased individuals were interred with seeds implanted in their skulls. Upon sprouting, these seeds would develop into trees that encircled the inhabitants’ settlement. The fruit from these trees bore the memories of the departed, a tradition and wisdom transfer mechanism that was preserved through generations.

This situation persisted until the individual known as Sorcisto desecrated the ceremony. By devouring raw brains, he amassed immense power and wisdom. He annihilated the player’s entire village, razed its sacred memory woods, and spread a lethal contagion known as Blight across the world.

This scenario unfolded until Sorcisto, who was called such, violated the ritual. By feasting on raw brains, he accumulated immense power and knowledge. He wiped out the player’s entire village, decimated its sacred memory forest, and unleashed a deadly Blight upon the world.

or

The events progressed until Sorcisto, so named, defiled the rite. By consuming raw brains, he gained colossal power and enlightenment. He obliterated the player’s entire village, devastated its sacred memory grove, and released a lethal Blight into the world.

The sequence of events advanced until Sorcisto, as he was referred to, profaned the ceremony. By devouring raw brains, he amassed immense power and insight. He annihilated the player’s entire village, demolished its sacred memory forest, and discharged a deadly Blight into the world.

As a solitary figure amidst the devastation left by Sorcisto’s rampage, you assume the task of retrieving the lost memories of your people, all while battling against the impending doom of your own corruption (Blight).

Journey into a mystical landscape shrouded in psychedelic western themes. Master your Blight, an influential force that offers power yet complicates gameplay, catering to players of various abilities and unveiling some of the game’s hidden depths. Traverse the entire storyline either solo or alongside another player in a cooperative setting.
