Will There Be a Dune 3?

After the premiere of Dune: Part Two this year, fans are eager to find out if and how the series will carry on in cinemas. Villeneuve hinted that a script for Messiah has been written, with his focus being on crafting the finest adaptation from the original work. Fans have suggested that Dune: Messiah might be unveiled on December 18, 2026 – a date that Warner Bros. currently reserves for an undisclosed film’s release.

In a recent conversation, Villeneuve mentioned that he’s currently working on four unique screenplays. He revealed that one of these will indeed be “Dune: Messiah,” but he’s unsure if it will be the immediate follow-up or the second subsequent project.
