2025 signals the debut of Dungeons & Dragons at Magic Con Chicago, and they’re seizing the opportunity to its fullest. Not only are they staging a live play performance starring favorites from Baldur’s Gate 3, but the Dungeons & Dragons team is also showcasing artwork for one of their upcoming books in 2025 – the Dragon Delves anthology. Similar to the 2025 Monster Manual, Dragon Delves will have both standard and alternate covers, and Wizards of the Coast revealed both at Magic Con. For everyone else, they quickly posted the cover art images on social media platforms, allowing fans a sneak peek at the artwork for this unique new addition to the Dungeons & Dragons collection.
One of the numerous projects on the 2025 plan for Dungeons & Dragons is titled “Dragon Delves”. Unlike traditional collections, this book will be a unique amalgamation of monster data and adventure ideas, forming an enormous anthology. The upcoming release date is July 8th, making it the initial new addition to the franchise since the completion of the core rulebooks for the 2024 revision. Previously, Comicbook.com unveiled some of the illustrations within the book following a press event with Wizards of the Coast. Now, the cover art has been revealed as well.
At MCChicago, we’ve just unveiled an exciting update! Coming soon is the Dungeons & Dragons anthology book titled “Dragon Delves”. The main cover is a masterpiece by Greg Staples, while an alternative cover has been created by Justine Jones.

Everything We Know About the Dungeons & Dragons Dragon Delves Adventure Anthology So Far
Due to the innovative nature of the Dragon Delves anthology, some fans are hesitant about understanding its scope. Although specifics like pricing and page count remain undisclosed, we have details regarding its content. The Dragon Delves anthology is essentially a reference book for Dungeons & Dragons, focusing on various types of dragons. It will offer comprehensive information about the 10 main dragon species, with unique artwork for each dragon, designed in different styles to suit them individually.
The reimagined dragons, much like all monsters in the upcoming 2024 D&D rules, have been refined to highlight their distinct strengths and characteristics that set them apart from one another.
In addition to comprehensive dragon data, “Dragon Delves” will gather resources for Dungeon Masters (DMs), featuring a collection of smaller, interconnected adventures suitable for crafting a larger campaign. The enclosed adventures cater to players at different levels, spanning from the beginning level 1 up to advanced play at level 12. These adventures share a similar format as those found in the recently updated 2024 Dungeon Masters Guide.
Since the 2024 Monster Manual has been released, it’s expected that Wizards of the Coast will begin highlighting this new adventure compilation as their major release for the year. This should bring about an increase in behind-the-scenes glimpses and detailed insights into upcoming content, much like what was shared during the build-up to the Monster Manual’s launch.
